colonel_korn posted:oh cool did he come up with a new Roosevelt Arc? Donald Trump is visiting Muir's orginal characters (do not steal). While he's there a bunch of protesters show up (even though they're in the middle of nowhere) and start saying mean things about Trump-sama. Then a bull gets loose and starts murdering all of the protesters. It's definitely one of the more crazy offensive but in a fun way story lines that Muir has done, as opposed to his crazy offensive but in a creepy/rapey way storylines.

Broken Loose posted:The best part is that Batman v Superman has the biggest post-first-day box office drop in history, including a record 81% plummet during the second weekend. Praising how good and how much money the film is making is perfectly in-character for Kelly. It's also interesting since that movie was originally planned to open on May 6th, but then Marvel put Civil War there and DC blinked.

This cartoon saddens me but not for the reason Dees thinks it would Robert de Niro is an anti-vaxxer? Say it isn't so

Well kinda He's one of the founders/board members of the festival. He wanted to screen it to "start a conversation" about vaccines and apparently one of his kid sis autistic. They only pulled it after people complained. So he kinda seems like maybe he's an antivaxxer yeah

Dumb joke, but use of Santa is consistent with how the character is actually perceived in pop culture. The World Today Just Nuts has made an objectively better cartoon than many mainstream conservative cartoonists. loquacius posted:This cartoon saddens me but not for the reason Dees thinks it would No? His film festival was supposed to run the film. When people complained he made some comments about opening a discussion that seemed more about not dropping controversial material just because it's controversial. Eventually the festival caved and dropped the film anyway.

Wormbama's left ear (our left) isn't actually attacked to his head, it appears to just sort of be floating there. Seriously how the gently caress is it that random teenagers on DeviantArt have so much better drawing skills than Ramirez? And he somehow gets nationally published when his crappy scribblings wouldn't even make the top 1 million of artists in the US. Also we're either dealing with all of those diplomatically (sanctions on North Korea, Iran Nuclear deal), militarily (blowing up ISIL), or yeah, the world's going pretty okay right now, if not especially "great".

Bernie's campaign, like a Rascal scooter, may be capable of surprising turns of speed and endurance, but will inevitably lose out to the automobile that is his opponent's campaign, no matter that she is distracted by looking in the side mirror.

Having both decided that politics is for losers Hilary and Bernie take up acting and end up staring in the next Mad Max movie. The film is amazing, but sadly no one ever gets to see it because before it can be released President Trumps starts a nuclear war ending all life on the planet. A darkest timeline cartoon.

I noticed you left Justice League off that list. Personally, I'm interested in Affleck's Batflick. I think he's a great director, and I look forward to a less thuggish version of his Batman. But I'm way more excited for the Lego Batman Movie.

there wolf posted:No? His film festival was supposed to run the film. When people complained he made some comments about opening a discussion that seemed more about not dropping controversial material just because it's controversial. Eventually the festival caved and dropped the film anyway. Yeah, I think the short version is that it got dropped because it makes it seem like anti-vaxxers have a point, and aren't a bunch of stupid lying bullshit artists repeating fraudulent bullshit by a lying huckster who has since been stripped of his medical license (because of the lying thing, not because of the death toll from his bullshit). You wouldn't see a loving debate about geocentrism versus heliocentrism, nor would you see one about the Earth being round or flat, because these are settled loving questions with one side being right and the other being a pack of loving cranks. This shoves anti-vaxxers into the "loving cranks who don't deserve to be taken seriously" camp, which is not where they belong, because where they belong is an isolated island in the middle of nowhere so we don't have to worry about loving whooping cough coming back.
