Solid Snake just looks so sad during MGS 4  Yeah, a lot of people complained that we didn't get to see Big Boss become a bad guy in MGS V, but if you read between the lines in Peace Walker, Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain, he already was. He's pretty much on the road to Metal Gear 1 in Peace Walker, but all the anime silliness tends to distract people from it.

I guess now that the series is dead ( This is true but Also at the end of MGSV Venom Snake turns the tape he got from Big Boss around and the other side has Operation Intrude N313 on it. This implies that while Venom Snake was the one there during the game, he was ultimately taking ordersfrom Big Boss.

If anything, destroying a loyal soldier's appearance and personality so they can take the fall for him makes Big Boss an even worse person than if he'd just done it himself. If anything, I feel like Kojima doesn't like the idea of the player playing as the villain, which is why venom snake actually faces his demons and becomes a better person than big boss over the course of that game.

In MGS 3, Big Boss turned against the US because they forced the Boss to lose her identity, become someone she wasn't, and give up her life and legacy for their purposes, in MGS V, Big Boss forces Venom to lose his identity, become someone he wasn't and give up their live and legacy for his purposes And that's before the Metal Gear 1 stuff where he lied to the US and used Foxhound for his own purposes, or created two rogue nuclear states that used child labour and purposefully threatened world peace to get back at an old British Man. At the end of Phantom Pain you learn he was poisoned by Skullface while Big Boss was in a coma and was slowly becoming a vegetable. At the time the game takes place he was already effectively "dead". The Patriots were being run by Sigint/the AIs by that point.

Ocelot is gayer than my boyfriend, who is dating a man. The only man Ocelot didn't betray or ruse was Big Boss. This includes Ocelot rusing Ocelot at least twice. Frankly the entire MGS series is about Ocelot's mancrush saving the world against Zero being a dumbass.
