I met a guy on the IndieGoGo abuse team the other day and asked him about the gills. He unironically replied with "do you think it's impossible that a company wouldn't be able to do this?" and "if you don't like it, don't pledge" I told him he'd be responsible for the man on his death bed in the hospital because he trusted these fuckers to water out of lungs.

their entire concept is LOX cylinders jammed into motorcycle grips and micropores. And before they got called out it was just the micropores part. and still people are giving them money

Any kind of breathing air stuff is Serious Business because bad air (like wrong mix, etc) isn't something the human body really gives you warnings about. It's like we evolved with the assumption that air is a known good and haven't got any good mechanism to detect otherwise. Bad air is deadly but doesn't smell funny or anything, etc.

yes yes but microfibres mean its just like fish!!! also it comes with a tank of liquid oxygen which should be a bit extra, right???

It would rely on filtering out the dissolved oxygen; make them think about the volume of water it would have to process to let a human breathe comfortably during exercise, and how much little air tanks could contribute.
