After falling down a dark hole and losing his family in quick succession, a young man decides to tour the world, angry and alone. He pushes the only people he connects with off a cliff, then decides to head back home. Once there, he struggles with financial issues and bad overseas deliveries of graphite, culminating in him burning his family home down and sabotaging the local railway when that does not work out. The movie ends with him hooking up with a lawyer he met earlier in the film who thought he was kind of a rich jerk.
