They sell prepackaged scratched up knee pucks at the one of the shops here in Dallas, and ask you if you want to swap out your shiny ones for worn down ones when you buy your leathers, guess it's a good deal for the track guys at the shop at least.

I'm interested in the reboot of the Icon Elsinore boots, the HPs. Have the qc issues been solved since the old model came out?

-Inu- posted:What were the QC issues before? I haven't dealt with the Elsinore boots personally but I can find out if they've changed. From what I gathered, from reviews here and elsewhere, the buckles were poor quality (pot metal?) and failed, and zippers were failing as well. There may have been stitching failures, but I only remember the metal bits being discussed. That was right after they were released, and I quit pursuing them. I'm due for a new pair of boots and still think they look neat. edit: Do you work for Icon? HenryJLittlefinger fucked around with this message at 04:34 on Apr 8, 2016 |

Oh man, you guys. Based on the positive reception here I posted it on reddit and RevZilla caught wind of it. Since I never shared it internally, no one knows I'm the one who made it and it's blowing the gently caress up. Somethingawful has unintentionally trolled the entirety of RevZilla. Good work team.

That is excellent. Although, Anthony has to be aware that his intro is a meme of sorts. I mean: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ysshkbuKt58 Tell me that's not self-aware.

AGV Sport Telluride Water proof jacket - An all weather and/or 4 season jacket this one comes with two layers. The main waterproof layer and sleeved quilted thermal layer. The quilted liner connects via zipper and clasps. The jacket came with a flimsy, lovely back protector that I swapped out with the back protector from my AGV leather jacket. The fit is good, snug with the thermal layer and nice without. It has two large shoulder scoops/vents and two large exhausts vents in the back. The only problems I got so far is that the vents would be useless if you are wearing a backpack and the pockets are kinda awkward to use since they are made to be kinda waterproof. Fashion wise I look like a monocrome, hi-vis bee now. 10/10 AGV Sport Telluride H20 Vented pants - The pants version of the above except black and with 3 layers. The main waterresistant layer, the waterproof layer and a quilted thermal liner. The layers connect in tandem, ie the thermal connects to the waterproof layer and that connects to the pants, so you can have the water proof layer on its own, but not the thermal layer. The waterproof layer has a layer of mesh on the inside which is nice. The vents do their jobs and it feels it would make a good pair of all year round. Imma try them out in the rain tomorrow wo we'll see...

ElMaligno posted:cuz I didnt have luggage, i now have a bigass topcase and its great. Want to bitch about my Shad one a bit, the capacity is larger than my last givi/honda one, but it's just slightly too shallow to comfortably accommodate my helmet. It fits, but only if placed just so in one precise location; I can't just toss it in and shut the lid. There's a helmet lock loop on the bike, but this is worthless because it's right on top of one of the exhaust cans.

When you reach the appropriate density, they'll mysteriously stop. (Where does everyone put the manufacturer stickers? I stick them all on my toolboxes)

I had a ZLA sticker on my previous trunk and an A-Stars sticker in my car's rear window. Toolboxes are very appropriate, and I will be sticking things on mine whenever I get one.
