I like to use the gun switch menu near-pause as I enter a room to get a clear picture of the room layout so I can plan out my attack. I even mapped it to shift to make it even easier to access.

I feel like every time I get the "dodge roll reflects bullets" item, I end up taking a ton of dumb damage by greedily rolling through clouds of bullets.

I just got an AWP and it fires faster if I swap weapons between every shot, that's great.

To everyone who isn't having a good time due to loot issues: there is a cheat engine table out that guarantees chest drops after fights. If you aren't enjoying yourself, just give yourself 1-3 free chests per level, or whatever until you're having fun. You can even make all the (dropped) chests Rainbow, meaning they have 8 high-end items, and if getting ultra-high level guns makes it feel too easy (it did for me) you can only pick up the bullet upgrades and whatnot and give yourself cool ammo combos or extra heart containers. It's the second one on this page

So, I didn't think to get a screenshot, but I just encountered a chamber 2 boss called the Door Lord. Has anyone else seen it yet? It's literally the boss door fighting you.

That's what I thought so I hit E to skip the cutscene to 'fix it' and missed it  Also I gotta say, Big Iron is a pretty lovely gun despite the level of chest it drops from. Decent for scouting hidden passages though.

If anyone's curious, the boss rush does have an item unlock for beating it. You also don't have to fight the bonus boss so it's not too difficult, but you have to fight gatling gull with only your starter weapon so I hope you have the bullet unlocked.

Got my first glitched chest on a loving gun blessing run. Interesting fight, but I feel it would probably be easier if my weapons weren't switching every 10 seconds.

So, uhh, The Spice is pretty broken. It increases your move speed, accuracy and damage by a significant amount permanently when used, with the only downside being it ups your curse level and makes a good chunk of future drops MORE spice...which would be a problem if you weren't one shotting all normal gundead and tearing through bosses like a wet paper bag. Like one use made my hegemony rifle nearly kill any gundead in one shot besides the skeleton ones and fatter ones. Needless to say, I got my first win.

The best character is very clearly the Hunter's dog. e: has anyone else managed to kill the Reaper yet? I was not expecting a stray shot from the Hexagun to turn it into a chicken, particularly not while it was floating ominously over a pit. The game didn't offer any reward or acknowledgement for it, sadly

After doing that and then rescuing the NPC again three times, you get a funny bit of dialogue and unlock a new item. I like that they took the time to animate different, increasingly exasperated reactions and facial expressions for each time you kick the helmet in.

This game's difficulty curve feels satisfying. Every time I win I feel like "maybe I got a little lucky, but all that not getting hit when it counted was all me." and knowing you earned it when you win just feels great.
