Morning games chat, I was crazy tired last night so I didn't really play anything but watched my bf play DSIII while dozing on the bean bag. He's slowly adjusting to the increased speed of the game. Also Final Fantasy IX is out on steam which is cool.

Playing video games increasingly wears me out physically as I get older, it's not at all like college where I could play War3 for six hours no probs every goddamn night. I feel less exhausted running for two hours than I do after the same amount of time trying to concentrate on a video game. I think that's why I like stuff that is easy. Thankfully nobody will ever see all the dumb ways I've comically leapt to my death in Tomb Raider.

It's not like I get physically tired playing games, it's just that Souls games make me tense and I don't wanna deal with that while tired. In retrospect I should have went to the gym to wake myself up.

Tried out some Banner Saga tonight. Very pretty, cool world, story seems okay. You know what i loving hate? Enforced tutorials in strategy games that put you in lovely tactical spots. You know what else I hate? No engagement mechanics. Yeah, that enemy walking along not one, not two, but 6 movement squares next to my units? No punishment whatsoever. Unless you count the punishment of my low armor guy getting hosed by being behind his allies.

I am glad that I am finally on a computer that can handle games like king's bounty and borderlands. It's not the most powerful computer but it is nice enough to be able to play a portion of the games in the steam library now without them crapping out

The battle UI is from the mobile and takes up way too much of the screen. The boosters/cheats are completely welcome. If you like FFIX you'll like this despite a few issues. VVV also that.
