As the guy that specifically brought up LSV in exclusion to all the other people who are generally considered pretty decent (Chris Pikula is specifically laudable for his impact on the Judge program and cheating in M:tG), LSV is the only HOF-level player that has used his platform to try and push the community out of its toxicity. I don't really feel the need to put anyone else on a pedestal just because they haven't yet been caught doing something lovely. Hearthstone itself is all sorts of bikini armor bullshit and I've never heard Kibler make efforts to improve the game he works on in the same fashion. I'm perfectly happy excluding him from the list of "decent people"; the community he is directly a part of has obviously needed serious work on its culture when the act of banning women from Hearthstone tournaments wasn't immediately laughed out of the room.

The truly tragic thing is that Sylvanas got dumber over the course of WoW's life. Starting out as an obvious placeholder character model, changing to something mostly fitting, and then going straight into "this is from the porn parody right" territory.

Surely as a walking corpse you're going to favour the bodysuit over anything else, if only because it keeps your bits in place? Like, you're gonna want to minimize the amount of exposed necrotizing flesh on display, or risk getting attacked by crows and vultures when you go outdoors.

Well that depends on what your objective is. Now surely actively fighting or doing outdoor activity would make covering clothing convenient. However one of my favor parts of Ravenloft lore is that Azalin the lich wears super low cut v necks and transparent robes to disturb peopel and show off his rocking calcium.

Yeah, it really helps that for like 95% of armor in the game, the FFXIV folks went 'does this look ridiculous on one gender? gently caress it, make the other gender look EXACTLY AS RIDICULOUS.' And then made sure that any DPS would learn to know and love the subligar.

Why does said queen of red dragons stay in human form for every important cutscene? You may say dragons talking serious talk would look ridiculous, but I ask any more ridiculous than any other character in WoW?

The rightmost character+texture is the most consistent with Sylvanas WarCraft 3: The Frozen Throne portrayal, where she does actually only wear pants, bra, and cloak. (The Undead Sylvanas model in WC3: TFT is basically a texture-swap of the Sylvanas model in Reign of Chaos, which is how she looked when alive, including bare stomach. WC3 was kind of bad about this overall; Night Elf and High Elf Archers wear a similarly ridiculous outfit, Jaina wears the same, the Sorceress texture includes a lovingly detailed garter gap, etc. The WoW model is ridiculous, but not out of line with the rest of Warcraft as a whole. Also, Sylvanas is not an undead in the way that playable undead are and therefore doesn't drop corpse-parts. Playable undead are undead animated by the Lich King's Curse, freed from the mind-control of the Lich King. Sylvanas is a ghost possessing her own corpse.  (Out of those three, the middle outfit is clearly the best.)

I have a dim memory of a set of bikini armour in Monster Hunter on my (female) character which I thought was a little dubious, only to discover that male characters get the same bare-midriff-boob-cover design.

I'm skeptical of Mearls disassociating himself from him (even if a link does pop up). The fact that he signed on with Tarnowski brands him as a bigot by free and willful association, and any "apology" he offers can't be trusted as anything but an attempt to save face in the public eye.

You'd think that if a potential consultant runs his own forum, you'd at least glance at it and take notice if the guy is seriously spouting fascist conspiracy theories. I can readily believe that Mearls failed to do this out of sheer laziness.

Reminder that Pundit actively turned his own mini harassment campaign against Monte Cook who later bowed out, giving the reigns over to Mearls entirely. If Mearls didn't set that up, he at the very least sat by and passively watched it happen to his own benefit.
