Yeah Ranked Battle will likely blow your mind, no disrespect to Turf War. There is tons of room for improvement, keep at it. I've played a lot and can tell I still "suck" compared to the top tier of players. I haven't played a game this regularly online in many years, it pretty much remains a blast. Real Talk: For a while I didn't realize that you could keep 'R' pressed when you choose to submerge with 'L', so that when you pop up again you'll immediately start shooting again. I used to let go of 'R' while swimming then press it again once I popped up but was surely wasting time. Could still make sense to lay off for recharging, I guess, I don't do it all the time. Got to play around with the new weapons tonight! Paint Brush is fun, Slosher is my jam but I still prefer the original version, Wasabi Splattershot is good and I performed the best using that, bizarrely enough. Also I made it to level 40!  Put myself in full Octoling gear to celebrate.

Gotta say, Berry Splattershot Pro is my new Tower Control jam (get it?... berry?... jam?...). Suctions are so useful on that mode, and it's nice to finally have something with better range than the Roller and more killing power than the Splash O Matic. Would like to try out the Fresh Squiffer on it as well, but I'm a little hesitant to put my already tenuous rank on the line given that I'm hot garbage with chargers. Just another reason I'm all in favor of unranked objective modes that we won't be seeing until at least Spla2n but probably never.

I've never watched the show, and if it's cross-region then it'll probably be mostly while I'm working or sleeping like the Pokemon one was. So I guess thanks Nintendo for not making this one compelling enough to pull me away from Dark Souls 3?

I keep hearing rumors that they're getting the writing team from the first 2-3 seasons back after over a decade. Maybe the show will finally be watchable again. Until then I'm content with watching miiverse explode with quotes from Frycook Games and possibly "I'm Dirty Dan!" while I have to miss the splatfest for a baby shower.

The only reason I put them together is they both start with Homest. it would be homestarrunner vs strongbad because splatfests are not about meaningful competition, theyre about marketing perceived protagonist vs perceived antagonist when theyre both pets, transformers, characters from the same show, ways to have fun, things you would have in your camping satchel, etc. the important part is that marie is usually right and also top waifu but lets be real here, which team is going to win and why because all that matters is snails
