it will be much better and easier to use than other car chargers. but the cord will fray and break under normal use.

Scott Fourstall was the only person at apple who could have run apple after jobs died, but he was ousted by a bunch of c-levels.

scott wouldn't take responsibility for apple maps failure because tim wanted it too quickly and therefore tim had to remove him since he was a threat

maybe after tim bails out he'll come back and put apple back on the right path like steve did

no it was probably because Google wanted more user data or maybe they wouldn't license their data for turn-by-turn directions

it was because tim, like all people put into management roles that they are unsuited for, made a big brash decision that altered something that worked just fine because he felt he had to make a big change to establish that he was in charge

apple couldn't get a license from google to use turn by turn with their maps, so they had to buy a different map company and it's still not quite as robust as google but is mostly fine.

that's not even close to true. google maps was already on ios and better than apple maps, but steve wanted to spite them with his last dying breath

they could get the license, but they didnt want to give goog any user data which was part of the agreement.

Google map, not apple map, once took me through some steep single lane gravel road with steep canyon on the side

the other time it took me through partially washed away dirt road where you have to dodge the trenches while driving on slippery loose dirt or else you get stranded somewhere that's at least .5-1 hour of driving away from cellular service

the worst thing happened with Apple map was just unable to find certain poi but the address always worked fine
