I agree with Steinrokkan. It's a shame that every season before this had people saying, "man, this season sucks. Sunny's going down the tubes" because this season was seriously not good and it's a bad sign for the series going forward.

I, personally, felt the last episodes on the cruise ship was a masterstroke, a true capstone for the last several seasons. But I agree the season as a whole was a little low on entertainment. I felt the ski resort episode was too forced. Still, some classic episodes though, like the bird law court scenes so I think in the end it's a wash.

I just don't feel like rewatching anything from this year, and I think they ruined lots of the understated running jokes by making them the centerpiece of new episodes. Hopefully they know what they are doing.

Some episodes were hilarious and some were less hilarious. I for one loved the skiing episode and the gag of the guy on the PA knowing everything about the gang's movements was great.

It was nowhere near awful. It wasn't prime sunny but it was thoroughly amusing, even the weak episodes were fine. I mean, we had Mac and Dennis move to the suburbs which was had more brilliant bits crammed into it than your average sitcom achieves in a 22 episode season, I ain't complaining.

The characters had all become stale and they knew it so they just said gently caress it and time skipped in to the future. I felt like the last season of P&R was cute and silly, like the rest of it, but the last 4 episodes each being tearful, heartfelt goodbyes between EVERY SINGLE character pair was maybe a little much, and while I appreciated the closure, I definitely had to wait a few days between each one, and probably waited a week for the final Leslie/Ron one because I was afraid of crying. I cant really remember anything about this season except for M&D move to the burbs and how AMAZING it was

Last night we watched the World Series episode followed by the suburbs/Being Frank episodes and I remarked on how it felt like no time passed between. I am always so surprised to read long laments about the death of this show there past couple seasons, like what was there to make you like it to begin with. It's always been gross-out. They had a touring musical spin-off in like season 4. It's amazing how consistent it is. Every season has highs and lows.
