Add me to the shambling hordes of people praising the music in this week's Alice Isn't Dead episode. I'm also really glad to hear that the new live show is going so well. I'd love to see it when you come to Minneapolis but I don't think it's going to work out financially this time, alas.

I saw Alice Isn't Dead when looking for something else to listen to after I burned through all my politics podcasts, enjoyed it a lot, and now I'm into Night Vale. This is cool stuff.

Once a week for work I spend a half-hour on the road after eleven p.m. and between Alice Isn't Dead and Night Vale I've got something awesome to listen to each week. Holy poo poo Charlatan. I'm a week behind and forcing myself not to catch up outside of that one trip each week because that poo poo is way creepier on an empty road in the middle of the night.

Does the bed music for ads include a heavily treated version of the classic Yeah! Woo! sample or is my head just playing tricks on me?

Carrie Elkin and Danny Schmidt were great musical guests, too. tentawesome fucked around with this message at 18:21 on Apr 16, 2016 |

Man Alice Isn't Dead keeps getting better, though I did have the factory twist figured out a decent amount of time before it was revealed.

It just occurred to me that the main character in AiD doesn't have a name, does she? Calling it now: She was Alice the whole time.

Am I the only one who's preferring the non-Thistle episodes of Alice Isn't Dead? I'm finding myself in a similar situation with The X-Files, enjoying the episodes outside the so-called myth arc more.

SavTargaryen posted:The wild cows thing actually creeped me out more than the rest of the episode. I hope to one day be able to be as creepy as Fink is. that actually happened, a cow standing next to a (possibly gator infested) stream and calmly drinking water "like the first part of a scene from National Geographic" was a cow that we actually saw while on tour in Florida last year, I remember Joseph describing it like that. I don't know if it was truly wild or not (probably not) but there were no other cows anywhere around there and also, it was in a swamp, which seemed kind of weird. at the end of that day we drove to and performed in the town of Clearwater which, frankly, was far creepier than anything in episode 4 Earwicker fucked around with this message at 21:09 on Apr 20, 2016 |
