I know it became a technical weapon (ie a BS attack fired on the WIP characteristic), it got a better range but obviously now needs LoF, and it still flips control of the mine from your opponent to you. I'm afraid I didn't remember any of the details, or if/how you can target a mine under its camo marker state.

I think it's just if you drive it to a place where it pops a mine, you make a wip roll to switch it to being owned by you.

No but seriously, my other Spetsnaz (Spetznas?) are killing machines, and I need that model. Plus it's cool as hell and the others are fun as hell to paint. I don't mind the recycled pose as much.

Anyone got an assembly guide for a Marut? I can't see these half-circle pieces in any reference pics. Edit: oh, they're for the base, hah. But still. A guide? Deviant fucked around with this message at 16:47 on Apr 17, 2016 |

Well, I got my Marut assembled, with only a little swearing and having to gap-fill the lower arm joints.

The Something Awful Forums > Discussion > Games > Traditional Games > Infinity: I got it assembled, with only a little swearing and having to gap-fill Seriously, CB. I love your products, but please stop with hands sculpted onto guns and arms not sculpted onto shoulders. I must own over a hundred infinity models, and never once, when confronted with this, have they actually aligned properly.

It's not much of a problem with the new models, but the old ones had such ambiguous angles for connections that i swear getting them exactly aligned was an impossibility.

Yeah, the new models are awesome. I've had zero issues with them. In fact the new-style Kum Bikers that I assembled were amazing. IIRC, there's the main body of the bike, the footpegs, the handlebars, the rider's legs, the torso, and the arm ending at the wrist. The hand is modeled right onto the handlebars. That means there are like three separate joins between the rider's foot (on the footpeg) and his hand (on the handlebar) and that poo poo aligns PERFECTLY. I was stunned.

Everything about the Marut was fine except the rifle-arms. They were not fun. Also the fact that it has virtually zero contact area to glue to base. Also that it's not as good in N3.

It's still one of the better TAGs in the game, but then again, I'm biased towards thinking all TAGs are pretty bad investments, given that the most powerful weapon in Infinity is Orders.* *That said, the O-Yori getting MA1 means I will use it constantly, because Stealth TAG.

Sooo I started Infinity last year, with a combined army starter pack, and now with Human Sphere around the corner our group are looking at starting playing again, so I'm thinking I'll carry with on with Onyx, now that their sectorial list is out. What would be some essentials to grab on top of what comes in the starter pack? I'm thinking the new drone kit and the Samaritan to use as lieutenant, but not sure what after that. Rodoks maybe?

After two games with the belter I really recommend Space Ghost (Samaritan) because he's loving awesome. Also Doctor Worm & A REM support pack is recommended too!

So my regular PanO opponent is on to my camo games and is finally bringing out his Aquila guard to play. This is worrying because our last match had his Nisse dominating the board. We were playing 200 points and I didn't have any AD though. So I was relying on USARF toughness to hang in there. My Devil Doge team was awesome, just dodging up the board. But some unlucky rolls saw them go down and that was pretty much the end of it. I'm breaking out the vanilla Ariadna to bring out even more camo, antipode pack, and some AD troops to try and mitigate his awesome BS and plentiful visors. I have no idea what to try when my regular Haqq opponent picks up that new TAG. Good lord that thing is scary. Probably just try and remove the cheerleaders, but still. Yikes!
