Awesome! posted:seems kind of silly. i started grinding her rep within like a week of the league starting. You've basically gotta do a full rotation of zanas every single day plus incidentals from maps to have a shot at maxing her within a temp league.

If you do a Zana rotation every day and find some random map Zanas you should be able to max her in just a bit over a month. If you're doing it 100% solo you will need to do the dailies pretty much every day for the whole league.

People maxed her in a couple of weeks. Its doable if you really go for it. I never do because that can gently caress right off.

They should reduce the xp you need for masters and make rotations just not a thing. Going and doing a bunch of master missions with other people is really dumb.

It's dumb and bad because the masters missions aren't challenging or interesting in any way except maybe Zana, who still stops being challenging by level 80 or so, and you've got to run like an hour of these bullshit boring quests every day to max your masters.

I guess it's kinda a legacy of PoE being free to play, this forced daily engagement with the content seems like a textbook example which has run its course and should be changed

The Real Foogla posted:I guess it's kinda a legacy of PoE being free to play, this forced daily engagement with the content seems like a textbook example They don't really make decisions based on the F2P nature of the game, since the player base always comes back and spends money every 3 months. The actual reason for the daily thing is so that people playing an hour or two a day will be able to make significant progress in the sizable master grind. It should be changed though, I agree. Grouping for masters can be fun with the guild, and the only time I play in a group really, but it'd be nice if you could get masters to level 8 after like 30 days of dailies + an average amount of map masters.

I was thinking of trying to get the challenges for this league, but knowing I'd be stuck at 35 and never get Zana to 8 really robs me of any reason to bother.

The good news is that there's actually 40 challenges, they always have a few extras beyond what's required for the rewards for that very reason.

Hey so I am new to this game and also sleep deprived (New dad). But I have figured some poo poo out and read some of the posts in this thread. My big dumb axe swinging guy uses infernal blow to make stuff explode into blood when I right click them. Especially stuff that shouldn't have blood like skeletons (do they have invisible bodies full of blood and only the bones can be seen?) and big piles of rocks that stand up (are rocks full of blood in this world?). It's just normal mode so I have had no problem with this "turn all bad guys into blood" strategy, except for this Lorde's Labyrinth place. So I went into Lorde's labyrinth and hit stuff with my axe and it all exploded pretty normally. But then I ran up to this big thing (dog?) and hit it with my axe and it didn't do much damage. A voice yelled out, "Eat that fuckhead, my pet!" or something and the big thing hit me really hard and my red orb thing went down a long way so I had to leap slam away a bunch of times to lose it. My question is, can I come back later on and kill this guy's thing that hits hard or is it gonna scale with my level? I just started act 4. Also this is Normal mode, should I even bother with this dumb place or come back and turn things into blood on the next difficulty? Or just wait until the final difficulty? Also is the goon guild full? Can I get into the guild without using IRC? My big dumb axe guy's name is Stampymans.

You can definitely go back and kick that big fucker dog's rear end later, my man. You'll want to level your dude up some more so his red orb doesn't empty out so fast next time.

Also, that big dog (Argus) is totally optional. It's the owner (Izaro) whose rear end you want to kick. If you kick the dog's rear end you get extra loot at the end though.

You should do Izaro in every mode. You get 2 ascendancy points for each difficulty (so total 6 max). Just remember to click the altar thingy in the treasure room after you kill him.

I initially planned to stop at 36, but was alllllllllmost done with one of the other challenges, and so I thought: gently caress it, 37 is so close and we get another level of our hideout ePeen totem pole - let's do it. Turns out, the 37 challenges totem pole looks like a circumcision accident. So, 40 became the new goal.

Oh, for reference, Ascendancy classes. Guessing your a Marauder, so your options are Juggernaut (very defensive), Berserker (very offensive) or Chieftain (fire and totems). When you beat Izaro in Normal you chose which of your three Ascendancy classes to pursue.

Ascendancy pulled me back in big time, I'd recommend giving it a shot. I really had fun with my Hardcore Facebreaker build on Perandus league. Blade Vortex is another really fun build but I think I rip'd that character around level 40 or so. PM me if you need any help, I haven't been playing much lately as Dark Souls III has me addicted, but I can log in if you need some help getting going.

Why wasn't Abaxoth (super Beyond boss) included as part of the deadly bosses challenge? I guess because you can trigger him in a low level map but getting him to spawn is still a challenge. I ran into him in a sea witch Zana daily and that was intense. Or the Avatar from Death and Taxes for that matter.

Just to let you guys know, running Overgrown Shrines seems to be pretty effortless for reasonable profit. They're a T4 map so they're basically worthless, and you get a Sigil every 2 runs or so on average in my experience. The Sigil is selling for around 12 chaos right now because of the challenges. I was doing some Dried Lake runs with IIR/IIQ gear and decided to run my Overgrown Shrines I had sitting around and got like 4 cards in 6 maps, which didn't really take much time. I'm sure there's better ways to make currency, but this seems like it's better consistent profit than running Dried Lake all day and is very easy, doesn't require much investment to sustain running for a long time, and doesn't really require you to care about the market. The other maps that drop cards for Divination card challenges that are relatively farmable are nice to run as well. There's like 4 trivially easy/cheap cards and I think the ones everyone else turns in for the challenge are The Sigil, The Dapper Prodigy, and Vinia's Token. I did try running Vinia's Token for a while though and found the drop rate was actually pretty terrible, so I'm not too sure farming those is worth it.

Because he's absurdly hard to spawn. I literally have over 2000 hours ingame time since beyond league, I regularly play beyond zana maps and I've only seen him once ever. Death and taxes have been included every now and then though, guess they just decided to change it up a bit.

Also, I don't think there's a level limit applied to an item based on socket number, but I think the minimum item level to roll 6 sockets on an item is 50. I believe you can force six socket a lower level item using Vorici crafting.

And as you said vorici can overrule them all. Edit: Wiki has an exceptions list The item level item is generally applicable, but note that there are a few cases where the restriction does not apply: posted:
