They kept running away and hanging around the Sage. A succession of three Bluecops showed up and died desperately trying to kill them. I just ignored them since they weren't really bothering me and calmly explored the area. The two encounters with the Sage were a bit dramatic and I almost killed the invader before they ran and I finished off the Sage. The last time I saw them they were hanging out on the roof near a gargoyle. I was trying to figure out how I was going to handle it, and started to backtrack to see if I'd missed any hidden paths. I had, and while I was fighting the Outrider I finally got the message that the invader had died. I think they managed to fall off a ledge somehow after all that. All in all it was a great experience and I'm glad I'm the one who came out on top in the end.

I take it back. Refined Gems are super easy to farm. Just kill the red-eye Lothric Knight outside of Emma's place in the High Wall of Lothric. He drops them regularly. I assumed he didn't respawn.

I had a fairly amusing invasion earlier, I was busy in Cathedral of the Deep on NG+ and a Red Phantom came fat rolling towards me and I took off half his health with a single swing of my +5 Ithyril Straight Sword and I finished him off simply when he tried to fat roll away to escape, that's the 4th invader who has died in a few swings to my weapon I guess people aren't increasing Vitality or something.

I take back everything mean I said about the Astora Greatsword. Make it Refined and it turns into a very good sword. It's one level below my Longsword but I'm having a much easier time dealing with all the agile enemies in Irithyll with it than I was with the Longsword, probably because of the stagger, range, and hyperarmor. Its one-handed rolling attack is a thing of beauty, too. Just need five more large shards to get it up to snuff.

Old Demon King is loving me right off, most of his attacks break the lock on, but if I don't lock on even with sensitivity set to max the camera doesn't turn fast enough to keep up with him.

Took me a little over a dozen or so attempts. The trick is to ignore her clones and just go straight for her, as her clone attacks are easy to dodge and she is quick to kill. Having high endurance helps a lot. As it does with ANY boss fight.

PS4/Xbone are using literal laptop parts and they're priced at £250-300, of course the games for them aren't exactly going to need stellar hardware. People constantly forget just how incredibly weak the consoles are. They're the weakest they've ever been versus expectations and the current hardware climate. It's not like Dreamcast which handily matched those arcade machines teenagers oogled over at the weekends, or PS2/Xbox 1 where their games were comparable to the most current PC releases.

I think my problem is I'm summoning a guy and then it's got too much health when that guy dies around 50% every single time but there's not a lot of space to hit him without a summon because of the darn arrows. ...

I am a bad bro That boss is weird, something ain't right with it and phantoms. If you have three guys fighting it, the boss will behave according to the most distant phantom. If there's one guy hanging back he will rush and everyone gets consumed in the abyss. Even worse if the guys are focusing the bracelets on their right instead of the more difficult and time-consuming left bracelet. That poo poo needs to be whacked first while there's no skeletons running amok. I found the boss far easier solo. Personally found DS1 Nito far more interesting. I like the concept of Wolnir but the fight is a bit too sloppy and not very mechanically polished. The hands clip through geometry, sometimes clip backwards through the boss himself, sometimes the skeletons' hitboxes stop working and you can't hurt them and they can't hurt you. That sort of thing.
