Cocoa Crispies posted:it's fine imo, better than yet another massdrop link that's "these are doubleshot keys but in a different color and i downloaded a new font too" speaking of assdrop, 64$ +shipping:  no, not a whole keyboard of these keys. not all 3 even, you get to chose one of the colors. again, 64$ +shipping. computer toucher posted:it is, it's tougher than steel with the weight of a plastic and the malleability of a middle-aged republican. i haven't done much with the stuff, but imo it's only difficult when you're trying to deal with lots of fine details or complex curves. otherwise it's more time consuming than anything once you figure out the best practices problem with cf keys would be the legends, you're either - printing (bleh) - laser printing (would probably look like rear end) - laser cutting (not sure how cf would deal with precise top to bottom cuts plus even if you fill it in with resin or something it's going to delaminate way faster) plus personally i like cf with a dull matte finish, not a super shiny one, so kb keys wouldn't work for me. i could see the top of the kb case being done in cf, it's not unreasonably complicated as a shape. i'm not a fan of the way dipped cf-like finishes look but stuff like 3m di-noc film works ok:      up close it's not as good as cf, but if you're willing to work it a bit more after installing it by adding a layer of gloss/matte varnish it could come out nice, plus it's a hell of a lot less complicated than engineering a replacement part from scratch
