Actually I kind of like the guys that make everyone else angry, Boomer, Ballantyne, etc. It was only Milne I wanted to see badly hurt in someway.

Not that I'm saying you're wrong about yourself or anything, but it's pretty easy to be chill when your team keeps winning every year.

I don't see why it's so difficult to have umpire's just declare their allegiances and then not have them umpire matches involving those teams. In the modern era of social media where you can probably find every umpire's Twitter feed with minimal effort, wouldn't it make sense to try and nip any potential complaints on that basis in the bud? And it's not like it would be difficult to do.

Alternatively, let's go all in and let each team have their own dedicated and biased umpire who calls bullshit to try and out-cheat the other one :3:

If so, that's why. If you had a surplus of umps coming from WA or SA and favouring those teams you'd have Eddie Mac whinging about it non stop in the press.

That Hayden Kennedy article says it's still 80% Victorian, or at least 80% living in Victoria

Yeah there is definitely something off with Bomber and there has been for awhile. I'm really glad we didn't keep him on after that one year, not that I'm glad we got Hird back, but I just wasn't getting the feeling that it would have been good for him or the club.

And yay, we are passing over into sympathy territory and people are starting to hope we ruin other unpopular sides in upsets. I mean Collingwood should win this ... it's their game to lose. They should have a point to prove and get the job done. If they don't, the aftermath will be more entertaining than the match itself more than likely.

Barrett also said "we were aghast at Nick Riewoldt playing last week" when Roo passed his concussion test during the game along with every other one during the week. So even if he was right about the possible issues to do with Martin playing this week he was totally wrong about everything else he said. Basically, Barrett is probably the worst journalist in the AFL media and should be blacklisted by every club for some of the crap he pulls.

I want everyone in the thread to know that it's okay to hope that Barrett gets eaten by a pack of feral dogs on his way to work one day. We should be united in our hatred of bad AFL journos.

Robbo might be a poo poo journo but he seems like far less of a poo poo bloke than Barrett. Barrett is also probably a significant step down in terms of journalistic integrity when compared to Robbo - even when you consider his reporting on the Pies drugs thing recently.
