I do like how splatfest power works. Because am S rank most of my matches have been back and forward and every win and lose has be by 2-5%. Its also nice to see how S ranks do turf war.

I found em last night and this morning, unfortunately they were on team spongebob and I got knocked down to 1500's, I'm regularly losing turf war matches with the inkbrush which is kinda depressing.

With this Splatfest over, I've come to the realization that the habit of trying to guess which side has the lousiest players no longer means that much. With the introduction of Power Levels, you're guaranteed to get matched with the equally skilled set of players, so no more punching little kids over and feeling good about it. Which is good.

Which is good. ~10% difference in population and winrate is back again so this method clearly failed after a single splatfest individually though because of matchmaking the whole sordid affair only took me lik 2 and a half hours instead of the 5 hour grind so i don't care as much about only getting 18 out of it instead of 24 also kudos on extended it by 6 hours for people who actually work on the weekend incase they actually have to grind out the 5 hour garbage because its actually-really-loving-obnoxious-to-devote-5-hours-of-a-24-hour-period-to-one-single-game. in a 24 hour period i have to not sleep in past ~8 hours from prev day, work for 8 hours, sleep for ~8 hours, do everything else i need to get done, play the game for 5 hours, and immediately leave again not being late for for 8 hours work, its a period with incredibly strict bounds on it. 30 hours is wayyyyyyyyy more do-able.

for those who weren't paying attention to Discord, I attempted to record our funs and games but unfortunately OBS corrupted the file, which seems to be fairly common. I tried to repair it with several programs without any luck. A website called mp4repair.org can do it but it would cost me $300 to repair the video. switching formats apparently stops the corruption, so I went and did that and now I'm properly set up the next time we want to do this.

Like, maybe you could walk away if you're not enjoying it, even if it means not getting all the seashells you can? getting all the seashells i can is objectively better for my enjoyment in the long run?? like i dont know how many ways i can say that 18 seashells is 9 hours of turf war matches it lets me use a bunch of 1 / 2 star equipment that has been sitting around my inventory for months because adding slots to items is so fuckin expensive and i play a bunch of turf war and ranked already so i already spend all the gold i get on new items when they launch or levelling up new outfits and mixing and matching junk ive never rerolled an item, i just want to max everything out, its fun, and its gonna take like another year, or casual play + 4-6ish more splatfests

Delicious Dish, no worries and thanks for attempting. There will be silliness to record in the future. Cialis, true, I totally forgot we could play the modes normally. But at the same time it's nice to take a break from that and do silly gimmicky poo poo. One that note, here are a couple ideas for the future (in case I forget) - All chargers, not motion controls, max sensitivity - We all meet up in regular turf wars and compete to see who can get splatted the most (I've done this before and it's surprisingly difficult when you exclude fall deaths) - Turf wars or splat zones with splat walls only - Booyah/Nice challenge (have to try to play while constantly spamming booyah/nice - Only travel backwards (whatever mode) Any of those seem fun? Does anyone remember all the stuff we did yesterdays? Which were the funnest?

Seekers only Rainmaker was a lot of fun, and so were the bumper brushes and burst bombs only games we did. Oh, and ink mines only, that was great. The matches where we turned off motion controls and reversed the axes were fricken impossible, though. I liked the idea someone had about using rollers but just flicking with them, no rolling. I think that'd be fun, so long as we ban dynamo rollers.
