I had 2 boring traitor rounds*, the second of which I was a miner and made bohrum heavy armour, a nice green colour. blasted everyone in medbay and robotics with a shotgun ("hey, does your forcefield artifact stop bullets?") and had people screaming about a traitor captain while I tried to deal with the AI, with a detour when I ran into a smokebuddy (good work whoever made those). I eventually got locked in the bridge trying to call the shuttle as a distraction, and after shaking the bushes for 10 minutes looking for a screwdriver (for the record I received one d20 that rolled a 14, 2 beakers and a zippo lighter from the couch) I found the ejection chute...which dumped me in front of the lynch mob . The amazing thing was that with the armour I did some stand-up-lay-down spamming and it took 4 people armed with literally everything in the armoury several minutes to kill me so they missed the shuttle also what is the purpose of the odd-looking pen? I found one of those shaking a bush behind botany a round or 2 later *they were boring because I was the only traitor and I tried to do the relatively peaceful objectives rather than kill everyone or gimmicks

I think the odd-looking pen writes stuff in wingdings. Mildly amusing, but I don't think it works for graffiti, sadly.

Just face it you can't play space station with less than 40 people. Can't really blame the game getting old, admins used to give wall sight hacks to guards to see people committing crimes in other rooms. I basically only played to kill people with flame extinguisher, make fires, or make bombs. Tenzarin fucked around with this message at 15:42 on Apr 19, 2016 |

I find 20-ish is good enough for me, but under 10 people it becomes a real slog. I have the feeling most people share your opinion - every time the population has risen tonight, a murderspree promptly cuts it in half as all the dead people leave. Very few rounds have lasted longer than half an hour.

We had a few test runs of Donut 2 yesterday! It was pretty fun. Unfortunately I was a wizard the first round, so I didn't get much of a chance to explore outside of madly dashing through it, and I had to sleep by the time the second one rolled around (with the singularity engine in place and all).

Traitors spawning in low popcount rounds could possibly have a chance to get special objectives like "escape alone on the shuttle, with at least X people still alive on the station" or "escape alive on the shuttle, and ensure that X player is also on the shuttle, alive." It wouldn't stop assholes from killing everyone and camping arrivals if they really wanted to, but it might encourage a little more subtlety, or at least a smash-and-grab approach that would end the round reasonably quickly instead of dragging it on for ages.

I do really like how Haine set up the arrivals teleporters for Destiny map, with the atmos readout part. We oughta have more ways for new arrivals to see atmos warnings, crime warnings, command alerts, journalist stories etc. before arriving on station. Maybe alternate spawn points and the ability to see a camera feed for each before picking them? Dr. Cogwerks fucked around with this message at 18:54 on Apr 26, 2016 |

Let people choose to be launched towards the station from the edge of the map in an escape pod, rather than turning up at arrivals. Avoid arrivals murderers, but there's a pretty good chance of having to survive an explosion/being ejected into space/slamming into the station instead. Could give them temporary access to all airlocks into space (pretty sure temporary access is a thing?) so that they usually survive. More interesting and thematic than just 'you can spawn in the bar if you want'.

People sailing back and forth down the southern hallway at relativistic speeds until something obstructs and violently gibs them.
