It's a group out of Japan that combines J-pop with death/thrash metal. They have exploded in popularity over the last year and a half.

Babymetal for those who haven't heard: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WIKqgE4BwAY Whether it's your thing or not, it's certainly a unique thing and you can't deny that. They'd also have improved #FE a million times over. I'm pretty sure that's Skullomania on drums. So with this year's E3 being focused entirely on Zelda for Wii U and Pokemon S&M for 3DS, will there be anything else to unveil? They're obviously petering out WIi U development in favor of NX, but with no NX news this E3, I can't imagine there being a whole lot to talk about for their E3 Direct. The new Kirby game, I guess. Not a Children posted:Whoa, I knew Nintendo owned a big interest in the Mariners, never knew that Howard Lincoln was the CEO. Crazy stuff Yamauchi stepped in in the very early 90's and bought a majority stake in the team to keep the Mariners in Seattle. A lot of people from outside of Seattle had very strong opinions about a Japanese man buying a majority stake in an american baseball team, and a lot of people raised a big stink. At the time, Nintendo was pretty much the only game in town in the US for consoles, the SNES and Genesis weren't out yet and the SMS was a wet fart compared to the NES. This was also the peak era of Nintendo being really crappy and anti-competitive with their system. (i.e. price-fixing, 5 games a year per publisher, etc) Not to mention that there was a cultural fear in the US at the time that Japanese companies were going to buy everybody out. Handsome Ralph posted:It was a pretty big thing when they purchased their share back in the early 90s and people were still paranoid that big Japanese businesses/conglomerates were going to buy up everything American. Baby Metal would be okay if you just removed the metal part of the music and replaced it with anything else. What I'm saying is that metal music sucks. Also, I will be getting a NX at launch. I'm officially a Nintendo fanboy.

I think I figured it out: the NX is a Nintendo-made Lets Play Channel, that's what they meant with Zelda U launching on both, it'll come out on the Wii U and its Lets Play will come out day 1. They pulled Retro from their Wii U game to make a Dark Souls 3 lp.

Man, but seriously, what is Retro working on? It's definitely an NX project by now but the question remains what the project actually is. I'm almost curious if they're secretly working on Zelda NX and assisting with the whole open-world aspect since open-world is generally a more western game developer thing. I'd love to hear that Metroid Prime 4 is in progress for NX but I feel like that's rather unlikely. Aside from possibly Zelda or Metroid, or maybe a 3rd DK game I have no clue what they could be up to.
