Am I crazy to introduce abother GCC or similar to my GCC Goose? I was thinkkng of getting a sun conure or another GCC. I have a small cage so they can get to know eachother before being caged togetger.

Yes. I am naming him or her Maverick.

You are not crazy at all, nothing will keep a bird more entertained than another bird. I have no idea how sun and GCC get along or how conures of the same sex will behave though.

Looks like I am moving cross country in June (to Washington DC! To family!) So my bird ownership plans are on hold for the moment. Adventure awaits!

Hopefully everything will work out and I will soon settle into a location where I can belong to some cockatiels. Until then I live vicariously through your pictures ad stories and my friendships/alliances with outside birds.

We have 3 GCCs that all get along (I mention that there're three because, despite not knowing their sexes, the odds are that there is a pair of either males or females somewhere in there). Now, we also have a Jenday and no one really fights with him and he doesn't fight with them, but I wouldn't say they're friends or anything. But I think that has more to do with Maestro being standoffish and less to do with him being a different breed. I could be wrong, though.

Today was bath day. Some of the pics are blurry, but, meh, enjoy anyway.

Introducing little Cricket, at 8 weeks old today:

You can see how little she is...just adorable! Looking all grown up now! She can't come home for about a month though...she needs to finish getting her adult feathers in, and learn to fly a bit better than she does at the moment. She is down to 1 handfeeding a day, and has been doing well eating her fresh veggies and fruits. Cricket LOVES strawberries, peas, beans, and rice. According to her keepers atm, Cricket lives to eat, and is perfectly happy to tuck in whenever the opportunity arises.

You can see here where her little crop is sticking out from her piggishness!

I want to get a bigger bowl now that he's actually interested in baths. The other birds would hopefully like it too, since all three of them can splash around together.

Oh, and thank you for the compliment about Cricket :) She is going to be a chatterbox I think....the whole time we were there she was making little purring noises and squawks. Just chatting us up the whole time. We came home with her big cage, toys, swing, fleecy tent and perches; the whole thing except food etc. She is already spoiled and not even home yet!!
