God this poo poo makes me sad. She and others like her are walking(waddling) strawmen that actively hurt the causes they say they are fighting for. Whether it's legitimate echo chamber misunderstanding of reality or just a cry for attention doesn't really matter- all it does is destroy the possibility of actual discourse.

Look at those bingo wings go! The comedian who says "gently caress my set" and just rips into them for 5 minutes was fun

Its just people with no real world experience whatsoever who can't understand why things aren't just being bent to their whim and it's slowly going to get to a point where everything is offensive to someone. It was like that article about people studying law who were allowed to not participate in anything to do with sexual violence because it was 'Triggering'. And it's like well what the gently caress are you going to do when you leave school, put your fingers in your ears the moment someone says something you don't agree with? Unfortunately in life people are going to say things you don't like, and things are going to happen that you don't agree with and that's sadly how life works.

I wonder how much this hypersensitivity to anything that offends them correlates with with income level. I'm guessing it's mostly pampered upper middle class people who have the sort of worldview that the world should accommodate them while people who grew up working class realized that the world's response is generally "tough poo poo."

Well yeah, but in truth we always hold our opinions to be the better ones, otherwise we wouldn't hold them in the first place. This is just a terribly over the top reaction to it. In truth a great deal of Social Justice is valid and useful at a great deal of the ideas that it contains are important for people. The problem, as much as anything, is the fact that any movement attracts a certain number of complete nutbars and, especially on the internet, they can be used to accuse people of guilt by association. Also to say that everyone just needs to "get over it" is kind of daft considering the human capacity for holding grudges and the way in which there are still a lot of things that ordinary people do that dicks over others.

They don't get free speech because it's "bad." I love that whole mentality of "<x> only works if it benefits ME and nobody else", especially with free speech. What an idiotic fat troll of a woman, surprised she didn't keel over and die from heart failure.

I've heard rumblings that people found this lady's dating profile (and who knows what else), which is getting from general mockery into creepiness. There's a point where the mockery outweighs the magnitude of the original thing. It's not something I feel like taking part in. Maybe I'm just tired after all the hours I Picture:
