I thought Hockey's thing was that his advice to the unemployed was "get a job". Could easily have been both.

Bulk billing GPs are not doctors who make heaps of money and drive around in sports cars. That's surgeons and specialists. Failing to index bulk billing rates forces bulk billing practices to become charging practices, it's removal of bulk billing by stealth. The exact same thing that Howard did to the university sector by not indexing their funding.

ScoMo's address at the National Press Club is absolutely woeful. He is constantly cherry picking statistics to support the poo poo policies in the budget, and pretty much is just sounding like a mix between Smokin' Joe and Tony. I don't understand why reporters don't just tell him to shut the gently caress up, but then again I do because good luck getting another job am I right.

God I hope Labor win the next Federal election just to see how stumped the News Corpse editors and journos will be, just like in the previous Victorian State Election. The Herald Sun still hasn't recovered from that election.

All you really need to know about bill shorten is that when the Beaconsfield mine collapse happened he was thousands of miles away, but as soon as it became apparent the whole thing would be a media circus, bill dropped everything to put himself in front of the cameras. He is an unprincipled amoral opportunist of the first order and I'm glad he will never be prime minister of Australia.

Shorten is nobody's first choice - he just happens to be higher on the list than anyone else actually sitting for Labor.

Alanna McTiernan rather honestly gave the reason for her retirement: unable to influence policy, like an extra in a blockbuster. That's more telling than Bishop's bullshit.
