Apparently they couldn't even verify that I put in a shark card code. They made me send them a video of me logging in with my account name visible and logging in, and checking my PSN wallet history showing the code redemption. Doesn't seem the most well thought out system.

They sound pretty indept. I wonder if their call center is even connected to the same system to look at game stats. It's probably like the VA here in the USA where all the systems are not interconnected and there is a floor starting to bow because of all the data it has printed in bankers boxes.

We seem to enjoy custom goon races, custom goon deathmatches, vanilla races and team deathmatch, extraction (when it worked), VIP groups and activities, PvE though we don't do much of that anymore because there's always a dozen of us when we play now, straight up lobby deathmatching and chaos, and new car update car shows despite what this thread may lead you to believe about its opinion on car updates.

We cycle through some or all of these in an evening and everyone has a good time.

Writing this post made me want to play. Let's play tonight?

But today I discovered that a goon spent MONEY on this game! I can no longer play in good conscience. I thought GTA Online was different...

I don't see myself ever buying shark cards for GTA, but it really is a simple equation -

Time to acquire the funds buying shark cards compared to what you value as your hourly rate. If you make $100k a year and have no bills, and $100 to get enough in game money to last you a while rather than spending 40 hours in game to grind it, go for it.

Back when I was playing Everquest I bought platinum a few times - $20 to save myself 8 hours of sitting in the same spot so I could spend that 8 hours sitting in a different spot was a fine decision for me.

Hell, it's the same logic I use for paying for a lawn service. I COULD spend 3 hours a week mowing my lawn and save that $30 I spend to get it taken care of, BUT I feel my time is worth more than $10 an hour.

I go through no talky periods, but I've been talking more lately. The real issue is I have projects to do instead of play GTA and also the Diablo 3 season started.

If you're a fan of Rockstar not charging a dime for any of the DLC so far I'd imagine you're okay with Shark Cards because that's how they're paying for it. It's not like it's hard to get hacked money if you don't feel like buying them.

I have BitBasher's back as well because he got a rate of $1 actual / $270k R*$ which is reasonable and good. If I could get $1.25m funbux for 5 dollars I totally would. The problem is that it usually costs like $20 to get $1.25m funbux which is loving terrible.
