Griffin does edit it actually, at least he said so on that dnd podcast he was on. Sometimes he cuts whole battles out

He said he edits it a fair bit in the TTAZZ episode too. Plus with knowing how much he edits MBMBAM I couldn't imagine he would leave this one mostly raw.

None of us realized but we missed a whole Big Gulp themed arc. there was even a character from it present in the "returning bad guys" fight.

He did a great job of editing since no one realized The Vorelock was even there.

The fact that the group just INSTANTLY all agreed to bully the poo poo out of this child as soon as they met him was beautiful. Like, it's been a bit but I'm positive they had one regular conversation with Angus before deciding to just play keep away and torment a literal child.

After learning more about Griffin's "jokey" vore thing, it reaaaally makes Upsy, the lifting friend's appearances more disturbing

Upsy's cartoon was completely wholesome and I won't hear otherwise.

(I suggest Upsy has to fight Downzo for the hand of the beautiful Daisy, for lovely pun reasons)

Where did this character came from? Google searches for Upsy your lifting friend are few besides Griffin's songs on soundcloud.

I've gotta get something.
Did Downzo make an appearance, or is he just made up by the artist?

Also, didn't Upsy have a big red nose? I basically pictured him looking like Mr. Bucket.

Bobulus

I...I think I'm missing the joke? What do you mean, 'make an appearance?' Were there actual depictions of Upsy in some live show or something? I'm way behind on all my podcasts. In Adventure Zone, they only just cleared the robot quiz-show thing.

I'm saying that I don't remember Downzo at all. Upsy I have very clear memories of, but none at all of Downzo. No joke.

Downzo was a quick joke one of them made when Upsey was around, it wasn't in the show or anything.

He's in the Elevator Museum, probably the next one or two after the robot quiz show.

Bobulus
Jan 28, 2007

No, I heard the elevator museum episode, I was just confused because SpacePig's question made it sound like Upsy had a canonical visual appearance, like maybe it was brought up again in an episode I hadn't watched yet.

Confusion removed.

Yeah, it's either in the museum or near the end of the arc when Upsy shows his mug again, but there is definitely a physical description of Griffin's vore vehicle.

The flophouse ad is the MaxFun ad that most puts me off wanting to ever listen to the show. Which is up against some strong competition.

Really though, out of all the shows on Max Fun it's the one I've seen recommended the most other than MBMBAM/Adventure Zone and apparently it's really good, so maybe someday I'll give it a go

Justin and Griffin throw goof grenades all over the place every episode, while Travis usually throws a couple and some of them are duds. But that's because he throws a goof nuke like every 3 months

My only exposure to the Flophouse is the swaperoo episode of TAZ which ended up being pretty fun later on and I enjoyed the character concepts they had. But man, I got pretty skeezed out by how quickly it turned to "I'm going to gently caress some barmaid" "nice, bro!"
