I'm flipping through random Part 4 volumes and something just hit me: why didn't Jotaro or Rohan or anyone have Joseph use Hermit Purple to get a spirit photo of who Kira impersonated?

I think Joseph would have to have some idea of what the person looks like or their identity to consciously do it. Like with Dio he already had a connection to him through the nonsense that was going on, so he can't just magic up an image of someone naked in the shower being creepy with their kid.

But he got a photo of Aqua Necklace and/or Angelo when he was trying to get a photo of Josuke? I'm not seeing much connection there unless we're going Angelo <- Keicho <- Enyaba <- Dio, but even so, we can replace Angelo and Keicho on that list with Kira and his father.

EDIT: I mean the photos aren't always 100% infallible too and it's possible you could reason it that he just didn't get a clear one this time. Yeah, that's probably what I'm going to go with from now on. Still, it's kinda weird since Joseph was expressly brought to Morioh so they could get a photo of a guy who they hadn't actually seen but were actively pursuing.

I wanna say the idea of getting Angelo in the photos was that Angelo was overpowering Josuke's "aura" or w/e and that Angelo had a stronger presence in Morioh which is why it was much faster for Jotaro to visit than grandpa. Bringing in Joseph to find Akira was more like a "Man, I dunno how ELSE we're gonna find him, let's try the method we used to get DIO's location, it's our strongest lead." Due to how Kira is obsessed with living under the radar, I wouldn't be surprised if he just couldn't appear on spirit photos due to Stand magic

Don't skip parts btw, I was being spiteful. Read Part 6, form your own opinion of it and come back to the thread so I can poo poo on it. For real though, don't ask about skipping parts. Like even if it's not just because you're like "Show me the good stuff" and it comes from an actual place of concern, people have experienced the series that way for a reason, it's best for you to do so as well. That being said Johnny is more badass than Jolyne, gently caress every scrub in the thread.
