Well now. Whenever Port Mackerel and Hammerhead Bridge is in rotation, I usually pick a weapon with a Beakon to save all that time from walking. So I went in with the Octobrush this time, and gee golly is that thing a stick of death. Rollers, shooters, even snipers - once you get close, they're bound to get splatted unless they get to higher ground. I can understand why I sometimes had trouble against them.

Does anyone else kinda hate the penalty scoring system in Splat Zones? Why not just do a straight countdown from 100, maybe 150 or something if that's too fast? It just seems so different from Rainmaker / Tower Control scoring... a penalty for being in the lead.

Has anybody else had a crappy time with players who consistently sit on the home base doing nothing, no matter which team they land on in a group, yet are aware enough to confirm "play again?" There's a player named DANGER I've seen at separate times and on separate teams who never seems to leave the home base yet will have flaming hair (special charged all the way) or a single death on their record. Is this a troll getting lols on youtube? A hacker testing what effects can be generated from a still position? A baby mashing buttons? Whatever, I've already wasted this much time venting about it, back to the splat zone.

You could charge your special without moving by having the Tenacity special ability and just having teammates die a bunch. Maybe the occasional kill is him sometimes launching his free special and getting a lucky hit? I know that's what it would look like if i was distracted but otherwise getting free specials. I guess matchmaking for turf war is working, I get bad team mates who stop painting in the last 30s or ignore the one squid who broke through the front and give away free wins but i never meet people botting for money with inkstrike from the spawnpoint. Anyway, they're botting for money with inkstrike and tenacity.

I usually mimic my friend by stealing his name and outfit for variety once or twice a month. Say it's the start of the game and your team gets down to 20. Now if the other team controls the zone(s) for a literal instant before it flips back out of control, your lead suddenly got cut in half. If they're good enough to break your streak, you get dinged. It's not enough to control the zones, you have keep the other team down.
