So it's illegal to show on TV regardless of context? So they wouldn't be able to, say, be able to broadcast a documentary on underage smoking in Japan on TV? I'm curious.

It's hard to say because there are probably very few, if any of us, here who know Japanese TV well enough, but you'd at least imagine that a TV documentary would be a sort of PSA thing and not endorsing underaged smoking so it may be allowed because of that.

Where as Jotaro's just cool as gently caress, you see that guy smoke and you want to light up and join in.

Yeah, that's true. Jotaro is indeed cool. He's still a Good Boy, though, despite his cool demeanor.

Also LOL at Jotaro trying to get Avdol to finish his one-liner for him then Polnareff joining in. Jotaro is more subtle about being goofy and weird than his grandpa is.

E: "No... I was thinking if you pissed yourself, it'd be really gross since we're in the water." Jotaro really is a goober. I want to see more of this side of Jotaro.

E2: I'm also a fan of the musical leitmotifs in Part 3, whether it's the spooky reverse synthesizer or piano arrangements.

Yeah. The band Wham! is ワム! in Japanese (wa-mu), the pillar man is ワムウ (Wa-mu-u), the band AC/DC is エーシー・ディーシー (Ee-shii-dii-shii), and the pillar man is エシディシ (eshidishi). Kars is the exact same as the band name in Japanese though. Both are カーズ

This is like 100% of why Araki switched to Stands because they have such a wide rule set, they can be loving anything and it just gets crazy

It kind of reminds me of the Territory powers from the Sensui arc in Yu Yu Hakusho. That was the coolest part in all of Yu Yu Hakusho imo, especially with Kurama fighting that one nerd by using a rapidly decreasing selection of words that could be said to avoid death.

What I think is interesting is often the heroes have pretty versatile fight-stands, where a lot of villains have more narrow or off the wall stands, but because the villains typically get the jump on our heroes, they can be in a situation that maximally uses their ability. The best JoJo fights feel like puzzles, where the heroes have to figure out how they can use their stands to "solve" the problem the enemy put them in.

I agree with both parts of this post perfectly. Did you pull my Jojo thoughts out of my head?

My personal Crusaders tier list is Oldseph > Jotaro > Pol = Kak > Avdol. And just like the parts of JoJo itself, the "worst" one is still good. Iggy is between Jotaro and Kaknareff
