I've always thought the first silent hill movie was the best movie to game adaptation because a horror movie is at least kinda similar to a horror game, where most game/movies change so much of the tone and plot that they may as well just be an entirely different story (Uwe Boll films) But its far from perfect and its a mess of SH 1 & 2's plots jammed together so its not even great. Mario is entertaining but is entirely its own ridiculous story. Also it loses some points for naming the brothers "Luigi Mario and Mario Mario". Mortal Kombat 1 is good, Annihilation is bad but cheesy fun. Street Fighter is amazing if only because of Raul Julia as Bison, he loving sells the entire film. OF COURSE! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GlhOUyy4wbs I mean god drat "For me, it was Tuesday." corn in the bible posted:why did the movies use all the sh2 music when neither of them has anything to do with it Because the director didn't understand the games and just mixed them all together. Why was Pyramid Head in it when they were based more on SH1? Because he thought PH was a cool badguy and doesn't have enough creativity to come up with anything nearly as cool. That song loving rules though, its perfect, so I'm fine with it not belonging. Zaphod42 fucked around with this message at 16:13 on May 12, 2016 |

In Training posted:OKB Zero in MGSV is one of my faves, since it's clearly broken into 3 stages and a finale like an NES game, with escalating challenges in each area with increasingly dense architecture and overlapping guard routes. It took hours to perfect stealth my way through and then it felt awesome to run the mission again with the mech and a tank and obliterate everything. It's really a shame that there weren't more well-designed levels/areas in MGSV I would pay for a level pack/VR Training type thing that uses MGSV's controls/gameplay; felt pretty good

Should I play it? It's not terrible but it tries more for the horror angle and is infamous for its monster closets. And while it may technically have had better graphics than HL2 back in the day, they sure didn't age anywhere near as well.

Should I play it? Doom 3 isn't really bad, its just not really a Doom game. Go into it expecting more of a horror game that's also a shooter and you can have a pretty good time with it. It doesn't really get fun until the last third of the game, but its still worth playing through at least once.

And if the objective is in the middle and you go out the same way you came in, or just fulton out, then the "level" ends up being half as long as its actual size.
