That flashbomb arrow might have been the laziest effect I've ever seen. A brief pillar of sparks, a half second cut, and then a shot of Ollie and Dig clearly running away through the forest.

And it seems to happen at least twice in every episode. Somebody just runs out of frame and the action scene ends.

Watching this show is exhausting if you keep your brain turned on.

So the world is ending, there's a thing we need in Curtis's lab, but Felicity got fired. Instead of asking Curtis to get it, let's hatch some weird elaborate plan which ends up with us somehow wirelessly cloning a quantum computer chip, and then having to extrapolate the rest. And, oh yeah, we have like 6 hours left until the world ends.

Asking Curtis to help should've been a thing and not doing a heist for it. Tbf, that could've been handwaved with a line about Curtis not having access since Felicity got fired due to security concerns, but still. I also think an opportunity was missed with Felicity's former dad and her future dad being in the same car.

All nexus chambers look the same. That's how you know it's a nexus chamber.

Thea seems to have gotten drugged in the preview which is really unfortunate since Lonnie did have a point about Thea not needing to be so tied down to guys and having that dictate her actions. Now she's literally remove of agency due to being drugged. Lonnie calling her "Mommy" is super freaky though and if Thea got her own spin-off, I'm sure he'd be her Joker while we're still denied a Count Vertigo.

They made Donna into Felicity this episode. That's a fuckin shame. The Jay = Zoom episode was stupid, but right after that Flash started trending up and Arrow started nose diving. I like Brick's accent. More episodes with him would be okay. I know we got a few in Season 3, but I've largely blocked that out entirely. It intrigues me that they went with Alex being drugged into being a bad guy. I kinda thought he was a bad guy from Day 1. I don't know why, but I think I quite like the kid who plays Anarky. I could do without the weird mommy thing, but I still like him.

It's super fuckin corny for Ollie to just be like "Well the suit doesn't look very good in the day time, so....no. We're not just gonna do it the easy way."

Death to each and every secret identity. I'm not going to stop giving out about it either. It's so essential to the DC Universe. It's the contrast to the modern Marvel Universe!

Why have Anarchy in this show and just have him feud with Dhark? Why isn't he... an anarchist?

Also why was Donna complaining about Lance claiming not to have known Laurel was the Black Canary? Why do the writers of the show keep having people get upset at things they have no business being upset about?

Because pointless, nonsensical, artificial drama is apparently the main time filler crutch the CWDC show writers lean on.

He's going to lie about something. And as the show has repeatedly reinforced, the Smoaks instantly becoming tearful messes that give you ultimatums whenever you approach not telling the 100% truth no matter what consequences may occur. This does not apply if ever you need to lie for their benefit or if they need to lie.

I think the Smoak's really have a problem with small white lies that do not affect them at all. Like, what good comes from Lance saying that he knew about Laurel? If Laurel DID come back, would she be pissed that he signed a statement saying that he never knew her secret identity? Especially if it meant that he got to get his badge back, which she knew means a lot to him.

poo poo, I just don't understand. I get it that she doesn't want to be with someone who lies all the time, but I thought that was because Noah was making promises and leaving them all the time, not just keeping secrets that doesn't affect them at all. There's forced drama, then there's creating problems out of thin air and goes nowhere.

Wait, didn't we JUST have a plot where he was keeping it hidden that he was working for HIVE to protect his daughter and Donna was going to leave him if he didn't tell her? Are we going to have this happen ever five or so episodes?

Oh god, we're in a lying-loop.

Xelkelvos

I think the Smoaks need to go to therapy over what apparently seems to be a pathological avoidance of romantic relationships that involve being with someone who ends up lying, implicitly or explicitly, to anyone. It's becoming a problem and also would be an opportunity for a clip show or flashback focused episode

I did think most of the fight scenes were a bit above some of the more recent ones.

On the other hand I like that a tactical, potentially first-strike weapon like nuclear warheads has a 21 hour charge up time. Somehow during those 21 hours no one managed to bleed the fuel lines or anything.

Edit: How many CEOs have been outsted from Queen/Palmer Tech-Industries now?

I was going to say something about how fast that missle got from Russia to the US, but then I Googled it.

I'll be damned, turns out it only takes about 30 minutes for a land-based nuclear missle to travel that distance. Only 15 if it's launched from a sub.

Business in arrowverse just works by having an ominous board who can vote out even someone who owns %100.

Which, why did they vote her out? Absenteeism? Didn't she and Curtis pretty much singlehandedly save the company with their miracle battery technology?

Depends on how the corporation is setup really. Palmer could have had a controlling stock in the company but still less than <50% so technically the rest of the shareholders together would own more of the building and things. But in any case you can't just walk into a national corporation, even one you own, and start taking everything. That's called embezzlement.

Felicity has been using the company as her superhero credit card so I'm sure they could find some excuse to remove her from the building. After all, she was just going to straight up steal a prototype cpu from her company and give it to her escaped-felon father when they escorted her out.

Just ask George Bluth.
