Felicity has been using the company as her superhero credit card so I'm sure they could find some excuse to remove her from the building. After all, she was just going to straight up steal a prototype cpu from her company and give it to her escaped-felon father when they escorted her out.

Just ask George Bluth.

I thought it was a pretty good episode because it was almost all superhero stuff and not much relationship drama.

If getting paralyzed made Felicity hallucinate her inner goth, what the gently caress is going to happen now that she killed 10,000 people with a keystroke?

Felicity's evil inner goth is a million times more interesting than anything she's ever done. Let's get her from Earth-2 and also put her on Flash.

Also isn't Dharke like super powered now that he has thousands of deaths to power him or whatever?
How does that even work? Obviously he doesn't get powered up any time anyone dies anywhere, because otherwise he wouldn't even need to do anything, he could just sit in his lair and absorb power constantly. But he also doesn't need to actually kill the people himself, since he was, at best, several steps removed from anyone who died from that nuke.

Monument Point
When they said the nuke was heading for monument point, all I could think was "what the gently caress is Monument Point?" Why not use a real city to make it seem like there are actual stakes (or at least a city that's been in the show before) rather than "this made up place you've never heard of before is about to be destroyed, trust us, this is serious."

So the world is ending, there's a thing we need in Curtis's lab, but Felicity got fired. And, oh yeah, we have like 6 hours left until the world ends.
Yeah, that whole thing was super dumb. Did they somehow steal the design for a super-advanced computer chip by scanning it and then somehow make an exact copy of it, in minutes, in their base, from a 99% complete schematic? :stare:

The Arrow writers think that owner and CEO are the same thing and they don't know what either of those roles actually involves.

Ollie, Ray and Felicity should have gone to jail multiple times for stealing from their companies. But they didn't because they were CEOwners, so they could do whatever they wanted until the board got rid of them entirely, leaving them with nothing.

Guggenheim originally created the location for his JSA run as their new base of operations in 2010. It lasted less than a year before Flashpoint and the New 52 kicked in.

Serious guess to excuse stupid comic book storytelling: Darque doesn't have to actually kill the people but he has be responsible for their deaths and in be in a position where he can absorb the power. The guy on the island wasn't shooting everyone personally but he was getting power from their deaths which he caused.

I was wondering if it was a reference to Monument Valley, a town that got nuked in Preacher, only the Arrow writers' room got the name wrong too.

Can I just say how much I love that when they fired that arrow to stop him from stabbing Ruve and caused the explosion, the first thing Anarky did when he recovered his balance was follow through with stabbing her? She probably would have died in the collapse anyway, but I appreciate that he wasn't going to let anything deter him from killing her.

First touch: Life.
Second touch: Dead again. Forever.
Man they gotta really sell the flashbacks next year to get me to like them. At least with S3 I sorta knew what they were going for. Here it just felt like current day Oliver took a break to go back to Lian Yu for some extreme adventures for a spell (no pun intended) rather than feel like I'm watching Oliver creep closer to becoming the killer bearded hobo at the start of the show.

Like I guess similar to "who's in the grave", Oliver's "secrets" on the island didn't have much planning or thought put into it to really be useful. It'd be much more interesting if they had a real grasp of what they were gonna show in the flashbacks so when it came time to showing present Oliver interacting with magic again it wouldn't seem so flimsy and you just fall back on "I don't want to talk about my time on the island."
