Maresca is the big factor for turning Palermo's recent results around. He has been so important, in getting the midfield to work some what again. Mind you it's still not great, but compared to before it's insane. Very happy to see him of all people score.

RIP Carpi, but I'm glad that Palermo are staying up. I don't think Carpi's president can have any complaints about that match either, that was hard fought.

Conte called up a 28 man list of players for a week of training at Coverciano today. Any players involved in a cup competition this weekend (Juve, Milan, Manchester United) weren't called up. Bonucci was called up because he's suspended for the Coppa Italia final, but Juve are refusing to let him go. I actually think that it's a good thing. No only should a team be able to tell the national side to gently caress off, but it gives Conte a chance to try someone different as Bonucci is definitely going anyway. He's gonna be mad though and his wig is gonna turn sideways when he jumps up and down

Here's the list of turds, it's pretty bad:

Portieri: Federico Marchetti (Lazio), Antonio Mirante (Bologna), Marco Sportiello (Atalanta);
Difensori: Francesco Acerbi (Sassuolo), Davide Astori (Fiorentina), Leonardo Bonucci (Juventus), Armando Izzo (Genoa), Angelo Obinze Ogbonna (West Ham), Lorenzo Tonelli (Empoli);
Centrocampisti: Marco Benassi (Torino), Federico Bernardeschi (Fiorentina), Antonio Candreva (Lazio), Danilo Cataldi (Lazio), Daniele De Rossi (Roma), Lorenzo De Silvestri (Sampdoria), Stephan El Shaarawy (Roma), Alessandro Florenzi (Roma), Emanuele Giaccherini (Bologna), Jorge Luiz Jorginho (Napoli), Marco Parolo (Lazio), Roberto Soriano (Sampdoria), Davide Zappacosta (Torino);
Attaccanti: Fabio Borini (Sunderland), Citadin Martins Eder (Inter), Ciro Immobile (Torino), Lorenzo Insigne (Napoli), Leonardo Pavoletti (Genoa), Graziano Pellè (Southampton).

Well the defense is going to be Bonucci Barzagli Chiellini so I wouldn't worry about any of those clowns too much but yeah, that striker list is atrocious. Insigne is the only one worth a poo poo. El Sha is on the midfielders list but even then that is not good.

Supposedly Ogbonna has been good for West Ham at least? I dunno. This team sucks.

Good, though I'm wondering where he's gonna end up. He's pretty old at this point but he's still good enough to be a starter. I wonder if he'll look abroad for a short contract.

I would genuinely prefer Zaza over that list of strikers except Insigne and MAYBE Pelle.

I think Berardi is with the U21s and thas why he wasn't called up? Not that that's a very good excuse.
