I know this post is a lie because no one actually honks in Oregon so you must have just pissed off the other lovely california transplants

:siren: Creepy goon story :siren:

Years ago I used to take pictures of out-of-state license plates as a kind of scavenger hunt game, since there are so many out-of-state license plates in the Bay Area. I was aware that being seen taking a picture of someone's plates would look suspicious, but I figured I would take the picture before they'd get back to their car so it was no problem.

Needless to say that backfired when a guy with Missouri plates started yelling at me and asked why I was taking a picture of his plates. I tried to explain what I was doing but he didn't believe that someone would be that weird. :v:

When I was 17, my father was so stupid, I didn't want to be seen with him in public. When I was 24, I was amazed at how much the old man had learned in just 7 years.
I did a scavenger hunt for state licenses, but all I did was put a note in my phone about the date I saw the license (usually via siri so I had dozens of notes that made absolutely no sense and could not figure out what state license I saw later). I eventually put them in a spreadsheet, I saw about 41 different over the course of a year and some change, although I also counted Canada and Mexico provincial licenses so I have no clue what states I've never seen.

I don't understand why I did this.

I probably should have. But the desire to do this mostly went away on its own.

I drove from Maryland to Oregon and it loving owned, saw all kinds of cool poo poo, plus I got stuck in a blizzard in western nebraska and had to draft an 18 wheeler in my little honda for 50 miles.

But seriously if you are an American you owe it to yourself to do a cross country road trip at some point in your life.

The guy they voted for is, somehow, not part the problem.

For instance, the area I grew up in is filled with guys going "Obama killin' Coal!!!!!!" but dutifully voted for him twice because Unions.
