The mutsuki is surprisingly fun as long as you can keep from getting spotted, the 10km torps, even though they're slow as balls, are great for murking dumb rear end BB drivers. Even thoguh they can see them a million miles away they still sail right into them.

Koenigsberg and Nurnberg rudder/engine are notoriously fragile so I would say if you are going to keep the captain in them, Last Stand. But from Yorck onwards thats not an issue so Expert Marksman IMO. Yorck turrets were buffed and are much faster than Myoko, but Yorck IMO is one of the best DD hunters and every turret speed buff helps.

There might be some interesting changes to the way you lose (or don't lose in this case) stars for the next season. Apparently they are adding a mechanism by which the top player of the losing team or losing team player that achieves a certain number of x (xp or dmg or who knows) doesn't lose a star. Don't know if it will start this upcoming season or not. Also got second in the Omaha in-game contest this weekend and got 3000 dubs, 14 days premium, a port slot, and 25 of each flag which puts me at 115 papa papas that I should probably use. The Omaha top 25 started at 101,000 dmg in a single match and topped out at 153,000. The minekaze half of the contest had the the lowest person with 153,000 dmg and top out at 197,000. The person that was sixth in the Minekaze had something like 21 torpedo hits and 183,000 damage in a single match which gives you an indication of how bad some BB drivers can be.

There are plenty of good mid-tier ships. Kongo, Fuso, Nagato (upgrade to the B hull immediately on all 3 of those), Omaha, Cleveland, Konigsburg, Nuremberg, New Mexico (not quite as good as the Fuso).

If we're loving on mid tier, I gotta say the Texas(New York) and Minekaze are my two faves. I have 14 point captains in them, which helps, but those two ships are basically why I play WoWS. My Iowa isn't nearly as fun.

But they always throw in updated client scripting files along the way, and believe it or not, whether or not a mod script has the correct client version in it can determine if it breaks or not. The code can be 100% the same but client vs mod version mismatch makes it go bonkers. There has been at least one known episode where a slight difference in client version between servers caused some mods to work fine on EU but not NA. E2A: I was checking out the patch file contents, as usual. The two biggest files in the updates today (in term of space used) were an updated libcef.dll @ 56MB and some .bnk files @ 59MB.
