I enjoyed my time with Fate/Extra but I'd definetly say like 80% of that was just Type-Moon fanboyism, the actual gameplay was mostly just decent and sometimes actually infuriating when you die in a dungeon due to an unlucky RPS guess since you can't save in them.

Yeah I didn't care too much for how unpredictable patterns could get in the later parts of the game. I definitely feel like all of the bosses were genuinely fun though and it plays very well to Type-Moon fanboys. I definitely enjoyed my time with it though and am looking forward to Excella.

i googled a post about fate/excella to see if there were any indications as to whether there would be english and it has all these confusing installment names and refers to specific holy grail wars that "overturned the entire concept of fate" even though basically the entire premise of fate is predicated on setting up all these mechanical rules for the universe and then immediately having someone break them at their first application so suffice to say i don't know if theres any english
