The type of humor in Undertale isn't really my kind of thing, but I can't say that it doesn't knock it out of the park in terms of music and accomplishing what it set out to do with the type of gameplay it has and incorporating it into story and characterization really well. It has a lot of memorable, high impact things that it does which is really good for a game.

Julias posted:OG Rayman is decent dun, though having to collect all the electoons to beat the game was really dumb. Rayman 2 is definitely in my top 20 games, maybe even top 10. (I've played both N64 and PS, and can say the former is better). I did not like Rayman 3, like at all, for terrible script, and found the gimmick hands all boring, even claw hands. rayman 3's biggest positives are that its core gameplay is decent and michel ancel was involved in the environment and character design direction, and it all looks really beautiful for it otherwise, the script is really bad, andre is a way less cool or fun villain than razorbeard, and the humor really does not fit at all with the general tone the game usually sets up outside of cutscenes. in gameplay, you've got cool places like the land of the livid dead and the whole cave section full of monsters that can't be killed, where they make a big deal about how loving terrifying and dangerous they are, and then suddenly they throw in a wacky conversation in the background where they're arguing about how tough their dads are and it really destroys any chance the game has at approaching something similar to how cool rayman 2 felt
