The PAL shop has a Hyrule Warriors category on the front page that had the update in it, for me.

You can also go to the option on the far left, then updates.

I haven't gotten the Medli update yet (about to do that now) but when I opened the game this morning I got a message that I got 500,000 Rupees and 10 Delicious Weird Eggs/10 Delicious Odd Mushrooms via Spotpass. Not sure what that was about. e: Oh of course, as soon as I post this, I see the Spotpass message on the main menu saying it's to celebrate the WWMQ release. e2: Wait weren't we supposed to get new My Fairy stuff with this DLC? Did they just mean through the Wind Waker Master Quest map? Twelve by Pies fucked around with this message at 02:04 on May 20, 2016 |

I still don't really understand My Fairy. I get that I'm feeding the horrible creature and clothing it to make it nuke better, but it has so many insane gibberish systems, and frankly I find its carefully blinking stare unsettling as hell

Okay, this is going to sound stupid, but I don't understand the combo inputs. Like, with Link's gauntlets, apparently the C2 and C3 attacks have follow-ups; keep pressing Y after the lightning punch to do more punches, after the pillar smash to spin it around or whatever. But I just can't do them. Mashing Y doesn't work, pressing it round about the end of the animation doesn't work. What am I missing here? How stupid am I being?

So, the Season Pass is $15, but the Master Windwaker pack is just $0.99. Are the other packs going to be way bigger/more expensive?

Just unlocked the new illustration: It's called "A Prayer Received". It depicts Toon Link, Tetra, and Medli (playing her harp) facing a Big Poe and a group of Chuchus in what looks to be the Earth & Wind Temples, with Ruto in front of said Big Poe, and Ganondorf laughing in the background. Looking it up on the Reward Map also tells me that Phantom Ganon too will play a role on this map. Not gonna do it before I defeat the Dark Ruler of the Master Wind Waker map, but I hope it will be as epic as Scattered Seeds was.

I'm far behind everyone else, but Ganondorf's level 2 swords mission is being a bit irritating. I'm guessing the best plan of action is to save the Attack and one of the Defense Specialists, and then run over to Zant to protect him, even though that will probably result in the other Defense Specialist being recruited.

So how does the Legends of Hyrule Pack (3DS and WIi-U) verison of the DLC work? I buy it on the 3DS and it gives me a code for the Wii-U that will automatically download the stuff for the Wii-U version when it becomes available on there?

Has anyone else had some crashes with 1.3.0(N3DS, physical cart)? I went to play an adventure map level, and the game crashed to the 3DS main menu and the system restarted. When I tried that level again everything worked fine. That's the first time I've seen a 3DS game crash.

I am really liking Medli so far. but what does that orange bar do for her? Strong attack didn't cause it to deplete and I went through a few maps and not seen it move at all no matter what attack I used.

As far as I can tell, yeah. Instead of having a separate level * weapon category, we get level 4 weapons with higher base damage. Seems like they all have 7 skill slots to start with, too. edit - It's worth noting that they have the same weapon model as the level 3 weapons. The only difference is that they have a + at the end of their name, and the weapon icon has a gold background.

So, I'm a bit confused with the DLC thing. I only have the WiiU version and don't have any plans to buy a 3DS. Is there a way yet to buy just the Wii U DLC packs from Hyrule Warriors, or is that still coming down the road? The page here basically still says "summer 2016" for the Wii U only versions. http://www.zelda.com/hyrule-warriors/dlc/ Guess what I'm wondering is, this looks like I can just get the DLC for both versions now for an extra $10 (and start playing with some Legends content on my Wii U), or I can wait for the WiiU only version in the summer and save a few bucks. That sound right?
|
# ? May 24, 2016 02:58 |

Yeah as far as we know, that "summer" label is the most specific indicator.

Why do so many of the food items decrease Eagerness? It's a pain in the rear end to raise that attribute because it seems like 95% of food decreases it.

Cleared the Master Wind Waker Map. As expected, the Dark Ruler map has Ganondorf as the enemy commander (thus he summons Ganon). A bit more surprising is that if you pick Ganondorf as your first character if you do it after A Ranking the mission, Zelda becomes the enemy commander. All in all, I liked the Master Wind Waker Map as much as I liked Great Sea, even, or especially because of the Endless Night rules (also helps that "Don't get hit!" was not among that ruleset, instead being part of the returning Great Sea ruleset so we can actually take it away temporarily). Also, "A Prayer Received" is probably my second favorite reward map mission after "Scattered Seeds". It's not particularly hard, but it can be very tricky to clear within the time limit due to certain reasons. You get to pick two characters (Link and Tetra are the implied characters for this map) to assist Ruto and Medli in defeating Ganondorf, on the Earth & Wind Temples stage. Your first mission is to drive back a giant Big Poe. Once you've done that, you must escort Medli to the SW Sage Keep (and also capture it if you haven't already) so she can create a Magic Circle for you to use. When you use it, the Big Poe splits into 6 normal-sized Big Poes which you have to beat (Ganondorf also summons six Chuchus to attack one or more keeps). Once that's done, Ganondorf summons two Phantom Ganons and you have to beat both Ganondorf and the Phantom Ganons in order to clear the mission.
