Does anyone know the name of this porn star. She was a brunette, Jewish, kind of tan, would do hotdogging/buttjobs and anal, a biography of her said she had a disorder that made her lower back extra curved, and she was active in the late 2000s

Well, my recent ex went from so loving in big and little ways to "Take care" when he dumped me. One of my friends (and his) read the email he sent and said he sounds like a pod person. I never saw this side of him before, although he was always kind of cold with his mom. Just wondering if there is something wrong with his brain or something.

"Sociopath" isn't a strictly defined thing, but I don't think many people would use the word to describe someone who's sometimes a bit cold or distant.

Not trying to be a dick but this is the way a lot of people act when they're 100% sick of your poo poo and can't be bothered with even the pretense of niceness anymore because there's no more relationship to preserve. He's just trying to sever like the good forum says.

Just wondering if there is something wrong with his brain or something. Sounds like he's just trying to sever. Breaking up isn't fun for either side, so break-ups kind of tend to be cold by definition. It's a stone cold hard breakup. Be grateful for that. Soft breakups aren't any more fun. Don't take it as an insult. Nobody likes seeing their ex with somebody else. If he didn't care, he wouldn't try to cut you out of his life. Take the hint and sever. thrakkorzog fucked around with this message at 08:22 on May 24, 2016 |

I'm planning a family reunion. I have 29 people. We've rented a 14 bedroom house and we have the place to ourselves. I'm working on meal planning. Breakfasts are pretty standard american fare, eggs and bacon one day, biscuits and gravy one day, etc. Dinners similarly so, Pizza one night, BBQ pork one night, burgers and dogs one night. Breakfast and dinner are kind of all-call events where everyone sits down, but lunch is pretty loose. Some eat early, some eat late, some don't eat at all. We are there ~3 lunches. I have "sandwiches" down for lunch every day, figured I'd buy a poo poo ton of turkey, roast beef, ham, cheese, and sammich veggies and let people go hog wild. I'm a sandwich guy, so sammiches three days in a row doesn't bother me, but I'd like to vary it up with something else instead of sandwiches on the middle (ironically, the "sandwich") day. Needs to be something that either everybody likes or is customizable such that it can be eaten by anyone. I'd thought about pasta but it's not very portable and seems like a pain in the rear end to do in the middle of the day by 29 people. Any ideas?

It seems obvious, but sometimes you have to point out the obvious. You could maybe get some potato salad, or some macaroni or some side salads in there. If you've rented out a 14 bedroom house, I'm pretty sure you can borrow their fridge. It might vary depending on where in the world you're located though. Around here, the local grocery stores sell packages of potato salad, cole slaw, and macaroni salad. Worst case scenario, everybody gets potato chips as a side dish for lunch. thrakkorzog fucked around with this message at 07:22 on May 24, 2016 |

I have just run across the seeming fact that people use Xanax as a recreational drug. Why? (I have used it as a prescribed muscle relaxant, and other than letting me sleep, I cannot see why anyone would take it.)

This guy has the right idea, do tex-mex tacos. You can purchase a bigass 15-lb package of ground beef, and prepare it all early, then fill a large crock-pot with it to keep it warm. Fill another one with refried beans, a third with spanish rice, and lay out a tray with some taco shells and warm flour tortillas, you're golden. It won't exactly be "authentic" Mexican, but I can't imagine a bunch of white-bread middle-america types not liking it. Edit: The beauty of it is that it's as portable as the person making it wants. There's plenty of meat so if they just want to grab some tacos and run off they can. If they want to do beans, rice, and some soft tacos and sit down with it that's doable too.

You can also easily grill/pan fry up a fuckton of chicken wings and drumsticks, and either reheat and serve or serve cold. My mom used to make that for road trips; we'd stop at 4am at a rest stop and eat at a picnic table from a cooler.

I would also suggest doing the tacos on the first day. That way, you'll probably have leftovers, and if someone doesn't want sandwiches on days 2 or 3 they can just raid the fridge.

Crankit posted:Is it possible to get a white laser pointer? As Memento's link pointed out, it's not really plausible to get a white laser. By definition, Lasers always shoot out light of one very specific color. And white light is a combination of all colors. So in order to get a white laser pointer, you would need a bunch of lasers combined. It's possible, there's a proof of concept, but it's not yet commercially viable. It's a bit more complicated to make a white laser than just strapping a bunch of lasers together. thrakkorzog fucked around with this message at 10:26 on May 25, 2016 |

I've been using an expired learner's permit as my only form of photo ID/proof of age for the last five years. It doesn't come up very often, and it's never been a problem before, but at a shop today they wouldn't accept it. I've used it at bottle shops, chemists, post offices, Centrelink, AEC, etc. and no one's complained about it being expired before, so I tried to find out what the official rules are, but all I could find was information on renewing expired licences. Does anyone know (or know how to find out) what the actual rule is (in Victoria, Australia). I found a Victoria Police page that says passports have to either be current or less than two years out of date, but doesn't specify for driver's licences.

This has become an issue over time as states (in the US) and various other places tighten up usage of what are basically state issued IDs. There used to be no expiration date for identification cards, which is basically what an expired learner's permit, or an expired license, is. More and more places are required renewal of ID cards.

As a bartender this used to come up from time to time. Like you, whoever was presenting the ID card that had expired during the last millennia was filled with fun facts about how I had to accept it and it was legally required and so on and so forth. At the same time, they seemed to lack for $5 and 15 minutes that it would take to obtain a new legal ID that would be good for the next 10 years. I live in the states, and I did finally learn the legalities in my state, which I'm sure differ wildly from Oz. Regardless of the law, maybe just get a new ID and move on with your life?

International wire transfer question: What's the best and cheapest way to transfer a couple hundred dollars to a Spanish bank account? I've never done an International Transfer before so I do not know where to go. I checked the transfer fees through Bank of America and the fees are ridiculous. BoA charges a $35 transfer fee and their exchange rate is pretty bad. Exchange rate I understand but the transfer fee seems a little high. I'm sure there's a cheaper way to go about it. Time is not an issue. Any suggestions? edit: I just checked Money Gram and seems that there exchange rate is 1:1 and there is only a $25 transfer fee. Seems like the best option so far. Transferwise seems like a great option as well. Busy Bee fucked around with this message at 18:45 on May 25, 2016 |
