I seriously want From to try new stories and settings. It can still control similar to Souls but just a new setting detached from the rest would be really nice.

I would not mind from software revisiting the cyberdemons from the final area of king's field 2 That whole area was weird and it'd be a cool aesthetic to see from mess with. It's pretty much just tron out of nowhere but with demons and dragons and giant metal termites

Overwatch is stupid good and caused me to stay up way too late and be tired at work today It is Very Good that we live in a time where we have so many good games. I could alternate Overwatch and Rocket League until my fingers shatter.

I wish I had a desk set up with mouse and keyboard so I could enjoy Overwatch, but my old monitor is crap and I'm not going to clean up the desk to squint at that ancient thing I tried it on PS4 but there are far too many characters that require way more accuracy than I can muster with a gamepad, basically cutting my viable choices in half (and half of those just plain suck) FirstAidKite posted:

The only good superhero game is X-Men: Destiny. It was so good, Silicon Knights threw up their hands and said "How are we going to top this perfection? We can't." and never made another video game.

The bad thing about Devil May Cry is that back in the day the second game was so bad it turned me off of character action stuff until, like, Revengeance. I got a ton of stuff there I can go back to. Like I'm not even broke but all these games coming out are reminding me I haven't touched some games for a while and have been jumping into devs backlogs. I tried Jak II because of Uncharted 4 coming out, I went and finally beat the original doom and have been playing doom ii because of Doom 4 being out, I guess it only makes sense if I finally try to beat DMC3 and up now that the Platinum turtles game doesn't seem to be so hot.

I sort of wish they would end up doing Warhammer 40k but due to some of the different mechanics between Fantasy Battles & 40k I can understand why (Total War uses ranks of units in a square formation like ye olden army formations, which Fantasy Battles use but not 40k for example). Also Overwatch is really good and is probably my favorite FPS game since Bad Company 2. Edit - I also played the TMNT game with a friend, its not really all too great and definitely not a $60 game like Metal Gear Rising was. Good thing Steam has refunds. I don't know much about warhammer, is this total war game the 40k thing or the fantasy thing?

They're doing Dawn of War 3 which fits 40k style combat better than Total War. Total Warhammer is pretty great though, the Total War guys should have tried doing fantasy a long time ago. It makes everything more exciting when you have orks and dire wolves and magic instead of just lines and lines of spearmen and sling throwers.

DoW3 is going to be more base building like it was in DoW1. DoW 2 was, roughly, the closest you got to the tabletop from what I understand (I never got into either Fantasy or 40k tabletop because that's a poo poo load of money to spend) but people really didn't like that it was basically a reskinned Company of Heroes clone. And yeah I like that Total War are doing fantasy. I've eyed the series since I'm a history nut and their games always seemed really cool regardless. I assume it was just Games Workshop being Games Workshop and being absolutely terrified of video games.

Luckily they also added a campaign for Virgil, and he gets his own campaign he doesn't share with anybody, and he's super fun to play as. Plus you can play the original game and it looks really great. DMC4's graphics were actually kinda ahead of their time. DMC3SE is better overall though. The story, level design, and combat is just perfect.
