I doubt that anyone censored this game. i think someone decided that an ambiguously real dragon baby with a callback to Priscilla was more interesting than a hosed up guy accidentally stomping his baby to death. not sure if i agree with that, but if the parts in bloodborne where you have to stomp a newborn alien and kill a pregnant doctor to get the secret ending didnt get censored i don't think this did either

After I beat that fight, I just assumed he had a baby at one point but like consumed it or whatever to get it's half dragon soul power, and now it's part of him and he makes the baby noises but can't figure out where they come from.

i'm experimenting with offhand stuff on this run. i really like siegward's shield, with its bash. plus it has really solid stability and def. i also fooled around with the demon fist. it seemed pretty cool to be able to switch into the flame spin move, but the damage seems pathetic. does it improve considerably with upgrades? also: i'm using a carthus curved sword as my main right now and i love it. i'm at like 20/20 DEX/STR, and weirdly infusing with quality doesn't really do anything to damage (i think it's actually 1 point less, lol). i guess i need to do 30/30 before i get a damage bonus from infusion? i'm considering speccing into luck and doing bleed, because putting carthus rouge absolutely shreds poo poo even with no luck investment. especially that first doggy in ithryll. i plunked my sign down, put on carthus, and i can kill it in 3 or 4 hits. edit: do you need to be hollow to get the most out of a bleed build?

i've been digging offhand spears, though it seems like people play a lot more defensively when they see it, which isnt really beneficial. offhand bandit knife is mostly useful for its weapon art if youre in a watery area, and handy for bleeding PvE enemies that are weak to it

Staying low level is a totally different game, on my regular character I just breezed through that fight, but this time he was the biggest road block of the game. I was looking at upgrades for lightning weapons, and the dragon slayer axe gets weirdly high AR when you give it another element, but I don't know if that will actually help me in the second phase. I may just try to nuke him down coward style like with the pontiff.
