Also, don't forget that crouching will silence your footsteps. It's absolutely not a bad idea to just crouch and Solid Snake up behind people to get in shotgun range.

I feel like there's plenty of people that never listens to footsteps. Tooltips clearly states that enemies footsteps are louder than your teammates so if someone is nearby you can pretty much point out where they are. Probably too busy blasting their music to hear.

I just finished a match that had the craziest stuff happening. Enemies were shooting through walls, objects, ceilings, etc. On the killcam you could see them unloading endless streams of shots, firing off two ults in a row (Ex: the dwarf setting off molten core one after the other, junkrat sending out a tire and as soon as it blew firing off a second...I didn't know what to make of it. Everyone on my team got slaughtered from beginning to end and it made no sense. The prior couple of games seemed normal but that one indicated it was time to turn the PC off and watch TV for a while. I don't mind being bad at this game but this sort of stuff leaves nothing to enjoy.

Been running Genji super effectively, i'm only lvl 11 but I feel like I can carry in heavy fights. My favorite thing to do is flanking Widowmaker & Hanzo and then murdering them with their own poo poo. Wall climbing, dashing and double jumping let you move in and out of the fight effortlessly and you can go from the wrong end of a Widow's scope to right up her butt in no time flat. I have also successfully dbl-jump dashed up to a Pharah and the E-flected her entire ult to her face.

He just isn't meshing with me at all Go up to guys, shoot them in the face they die, you get health don't try to shoot more than one person in the face at once, engage them one by one and shoot in face use your lshift to get out of dodge when the shooting in face isn't gonna work, use the e to get to good positions to shoot people in the face (high ground, places you can drop down on them, flanking, etc) after shooting enough people in the face you now have ult, go up to group of people (hopefully without them shooting at you or noticing you) and press q, now teamwipe

Am I the only one who finds Widowmaker more effective in close proximity to your team? Also, headshotting a hero right as s/he starts to ult is glorious. Try again next time, Pharah! p.s. throwing mines at Reinhardt clusters as they try to push in is fantastic.

I'm still learning all the maps and I haven't touched half the characters, but Lucio is really good. I was doing well with him even when I thought his weapon needed to be shot at teammates to heal them.

I actually find Mei pretty difficult to snipe as Widowmaker, out of all of the characters, even Tracer is relatively easy since its just a body shot that counts because she's too zippy at times. Mei's movements are very erratic and she is tiny with a small head, it's 2nd most to Hanzo in terms of headshot difficulty, not to mention she can encase in a shield of ice, which makes it difficult to figure out (yet) where her actual head is in that encased block of ice as soon as she pops out. A lot of the overwatch characters have such different height variations that as Widowmaker, its pretty difficult to adjust for the head, considering you try to go from a Rein, to a Mercy to a Mei, to a Hanzo as they run out into the open from a corner. It's an interesting challenge and I welcome it in getting better, but drat that Mei...I'll have you in my sights soon enough bitch  TheKingofSprings posted:Is Soldier 76 the only assault class not meant to flank? If you watch the S76 short, it actually gives some pretty good clues as to how to play him. He can flank, its just a matter of appropriate timing and getting in and out. matchmaking clicked and we played like, 10 or 11 rounds vs the same stack with lots of close matches and plenty of actual GGs. real good poo poo, imo. overwatch is good, and, I'm glad of it.

I think McCree, 76 and to an extent Pharah are meant to make up the frontline. Pharah can access a lot of flanking routes but she's not super manouverable in combat. Using her up front if you have a Reinhart or something can be pretty effective.
