That might well be what happened since its pretty unlikely someone would suicide gank with a svipul just to kill a shuttle unless they had reason to believe there was something worth killing with it.

https://zkillboard.com/kill/54254604/ Shuttles do have a sub 1 second align time, so they're unkillable unless they don't use a proper insta-dock, or are smartbombed on gates. That guy in particular likes to sit both on the incoming traffic to 4-4, and on the undock. The guy could have died any of these ways: 1) Being AFK off the station undock. 2) Being shot as he undocked (Unlikely, as a ganker would have to cycle a cargo scanner to decide if he was worth ganking or he's just shooting random shuttles, which tend to have nothing* inside of them 99% of the time.) 3) Being shot after he warped to the station, but died on the approach. (ie warping to zero, but not an insta dock. This is equally as unlikely as #2 because again, scanning time.) 4) Autopiloting. (most likely scenario.) e: 5) DCing. (Somewhat unlikely, as a shuttle logging off will draw no attention compared to something like a freighter, and will enter it's emergency warp rather quickly. It's possible that he may have undocked, DCed, and died at the start while the client was waiting on confirmation that he DCed or something i don't know i'm not a computer nerd.) *no one suicides a 60 mil ship for a 10,000 isk ship 1001 Arabian dicks fucked around with this message at 12:10 on May 27, 2016 |

Here's that guys Svipul fit https://zkillboard.com/kill/54222140/ If Shuttles still have a 25 meter signature radius, that Svipul with max skills in Sharpshooter mode would lock it in under 2 seconds (rounded up to 2) and then a third second to shoot it. Two remote sebos and a Quafe could get it under 1 second, plus an additional second to shoot. The tricky thing however is that cargo scanner - looks like it completes a scan in 1.152 seconds, which I assume would round up to two seconds, making the entire event over and done with in 4 seconds if he was a computer that could identify valuable cargo immediately and then immediately fire on the shuttle. Regardless, 5ish seconds - could have been a warp-to-station and then 2,000m off of it scenario, or it could have been an undock and then align and accidentally not immediately warp situation. According to Reddit, Skill Injectors were ~8mil isk cheaper next door to Jita, in a citadel in Perimeter - looks like this guy was trying to buy low there and sell high in Jita and got blapped because he didn't use an insta-dock bookmark. An expensive lesson to learn! Also worth noting: You can't remotely inject Injectors from a citadel, they need to be located in a station. Double ouch.
