It was pretty weird how it only took one mention of Japanese kiddie porn comics and suddenly a whole crowd of people with anime avatars came pouring out of the woodwork to discuss it. Some of the them had never even posted in this thread before, how does that even work?

Probably because more people than post in a thread typically read it, and when something got banned so hard from a subforum you read that you can't even mention it by name comes up, you have something to contribute to the discussion?

the best thing to do is to not give them money and then forget it exists. All the hand wringing in the world wont stop the people that already decided to support it from funding it. Come to terms that no amount of getting upset about it will stop the people who buy that poo poo from doing it

It's worth noting that the people who used to run the kickstarters at DMP for actually classic titles had long since bailed years ago to better publishers. In retrospect now, it seems less like natural career advancement and more like getting out before things went south.
