Not in my experience.. wife and I couldn't find any way to get away from people on any trail that was day hike material. If you want to really get away from people, you gotta be a backpacker and overnight somewhere. Obviously there's more crowded/less crowded areas and it's all still worth seeing but a place of solitude it ain't.
