Manley was announced shortly afterward, and owing to the batch format that The Phantom is made in we've only just now gotten to the point where the backlog ran out.

Glad to hear folks are enjoying Wash Tubbs -- it's one of my favorites. Interesting fact: the strip actually predates Tintin by about four years. It's highly likely that Herge was influenced by it, though I'm not sure he ever outright said so.
