Phone calls I can't cope with on Friday mornings: "This new drawing you've done says machine a feature to size x, and the model shows size x, and the previous version's drawing shows x, however we've always done it to y. Should we follow the drawing?"

"I gave you those drawings for a reason, because that is exactly what the part must be" Something I actually had to tell a machinist that said my drawings must be incorrect and then decided to substitute his own changes. It didn't work.

Try out as many as possible, every rider will need something different But yeah my seat is pretty much proof of what nm was saying - comfy max padded seats arent actually comfortable. If you want to do kms, saddles sometimes just isnt what you expect it to be, you might need to think out of left field. I think I still have my original fitment saddle somewhere.... all the computerised fitting said it should work but it didnt count on my habit of rolling forward on the saddle. I tried out a TT saddle (A Sitero) which fixed the dick numbing issues I was getting and allowed me to move forward. The Power just simply is a road saddle that has the TT style cut off nose, really works for an aggressive position. Hey, good excuse to post my Tarmac again This is another bike from the collection. It's the oddest I have that, two other Centurions, A Cannondale CAAD3 Saeco team bike, Epic Marathon MTB, A Jamis Duarango MTB, then the S-Works Venge and the Tarmac. I'd like to get a proper TT bike and a cyclocross bike one day. Appaently witht he way CAAD3 Saeco prices are rising, all I'll have to do is hold onto the Cannondale for a year... I've seen the team ones going for over 2 grand (!!!!!!!!!!) and the prices are rising.

I was cleaning out the boxes of junk in the computer room (my predecessor was an IT hoarder) and found some ANCIENT cans of "PC Duster." Turns out they were straight up R-12 just chilling in a can ready to be used to dust off computer equipment. I couldn't believe it.

Refrigerant is easy to keep in a liquid form and quickly evaporates to maintain its pressure, letting you have a can that can maintain its static pressure through multiple bursts.

Finally cooked the steak that's been aging in the fridge since sunday night. No pics cause my phone has low battery (which disables the camera even when plugged in and charging ), but suffice to say: It was crusty, it was juicy, and it was delicious. Dry age/quick sear in olive oil/finish slow with herbal butter is 100% the way to go imo, if you don't have access to a nice hot grill.

Dry cast iron heated to approximately the temperature of the surface of the sun, sear on both sides for a couple minutes each, finish in oven. I used to like finishing my steak with butter and searing with olive oil, but I just feel like a decent piece of steak shouldn't need the extra fat. Totally agree about the dry aging though, I also salt the steak, let the salt draw out some moisture, and pat it dry for an extra crispy crust. Damnit, Enourmo, now I have to stop and get some on my way home.

Well, I no longer use my cast iron here because of.. reasons.... so I'm making do with the flimsy nonstick pan I have. It's not mine, but it's apparently not the roommate's either, so I guess it's up for grabs. Can't exactly do a fast dry sear with teflon. Plus this was a sirloin (it was on sale last weekend for the holiday) so it's got a bit less fat to begin with; normally I go for either NY strip or ribeye (T-bone/porterhouse if I'm feeling real fancy). E: Also, you're welcome.

Seconding this, aside from the god-awful heat in the summer this is the best way to cook a steak. I throw the pan in the oven set as high as it will go for 15-20 minutes before, then out onto a full blast burner for the searing. Why people go to steakhouses is beyond me when making a steak the way they do is so drat easy and fast. And substantially cheaper...I can typically buy a cut of meat large enough for my wife and I for less than the price of a single entree at Outback (etc.)

You could probably do one with a nitrogen or Co2 tank, or even a scba tank at 6000 psi that would last long enough to do multiple computers, but then you would be paying someone to refill the tank, and that person you're paying wouldn't be any of the companies currently selling canned air.
