Trump doesn't actually believe a single thing he's saying. Say what you want about all the Neo-Fascists parties that are gaining strength in Europe but at least those guys actually believe in their horrible odious ideology and aren't just fishing for votes.

Also those polls don't factor in the electoral college, where Hillary's lead widens. Still, the sheer amount of gibbering bigots and the sheer amount of people who aren't but will vote for him anyway for some stupid and terrible reason are each in their own way pants-shittingly terrifying.

I wasn't sure if I should put this here, or in the Schadenfreude thread, but someone tried to scam me by setting up a profile as someone I already knew (hence why the fb chat messages are edited, they used this person's real name and photo). I caught on pretty much instantly, and I strung them on for quite a while. They even had a second person in on it via text. There's no such person as Lauren, btw. I don't care about my google plus image, it's super old and I never use Google plus any more. I left the scammer's number in on purpose.
