Kirby's Dream Course is indeed a good game. I don't think that a game as limited in scope as it is could be released today except as a discount eShop title, but in a way that's disappointing.

The issue I have with My Nintendo is that physical versions don't give you gold points. I would be in a position to have around 200 gold coins, but I only have 20 because physical copies don't count.

Getting free copies of Wind Waker HD, Super Mario 3D Land, Wonderful 101, Mario Golf Toadstool Tour and Pokemon Y were pretty good rewards to me. I also spent that $30 that I got from getting SMTIV and FE Awakening quite well.

those promotions had relatively little to do with club nintendo and more to do with desperation techniques to sell Mario Kart 8 and Smash Bros

they were 'free' game giveaways but you had to buy a game at full price within its launch window to get the deal

and then you had the end-of-year rewards and there's nothing to suggest My Nintendo won't do that
