I just remember running around the interiors at high speeds as a wizard (which is another reason NOX is great, gently caress classes, it's all about fun!) because going outside meant someone with a higher resolution could snipe me. God bless you piece of poo poo 640x480 handmedown laptop! Holy poo poo that multiplayer was fun.

On DailyIndieGame you can grab a free Steam key for Crystals of Time, a hidden object game, if you join their Steam group (requires linking accounts and setting profile to public) and visit a bunch of webpages, including a Facebook page, but you don't need to be logged into Facebook for that to work. http://www.dailyindiegame.com/content_contestcot.html Only then will it show you the extra steps required, to exploit the sunk cost fallacy. In my case, I had to do two more things, and was allowed to choose from a list of five. I've bolded the ones I did: - Follow them on twitter - Visit another steam store page - Subscribe to a youtube channel (I didn't work as I wasn't logged into youtube, but it passed the test regardless) - Visit dailyindiegame.com - Share stuff on social media I instantly got the Steam key after that. Both on the same screen and in an e-mail. So they now have my e-mail (courtesy of mandatory linking of Steam account), and I suspect I'll be getting some spam too. You can leave the Steam group afterwards and set your profile back to private. Stick Insect fucked around with this message at 23:02 on Jun 4, 2016 |

Get a free Steam key for QUBE, a first person puzzler (10000 keys are available), if you're willing to do an awful lot of engaging with brands. This giveaway is from IndieKings: https://gleam.io/gu3gp/qube-directors-cut-10000-steam-keys Don't forget to set your Steam profile to public for the duration of this exercise, or it won't pass you. Twitch and Steam tasks required linking accounts, the rest didn't. For the twitter ones, it's enough to click the 'retweet' button underneath the tweet. (That's this icon: ). I don't have a twitter account so I couldn't get past twitter's login screen that showed up after that, but it was enough to let me pass the test. Same goes for the "follow on twitter" ones. The youtube one also passed me without actually subscribing me. At some point the giveaway site stopped responding, but you can safely press F5, every test you've already passed will remain. They will get your e-mail address through linking Steam and linking Twitch. In fact, the last step on that list didn't require me to enter anything! The steam key immediately appeared in that very window, and also in my e-mail inbox. When you're done you can set your steam profile back to private, leave the steam groups, unsubscribe from the mailing lists etc. Stick Insect fucked around with this message at 10:08 on Jun 7, 2016 |

NOX is now for free on Failmid. EDIT: They just send you instructions how to install Origin and grab it from there. So instead cut out the middleman and go straight to Origin, their deal is still up. They also blocked my failmid@<mydomain>.com e-mail address as "problematic". I do this so I can see who sells/loses/leaks my e-mail, so I can redirect it automatically to the bin, if I catch them doing it. A Steam key for Axis Football 2015, a football game (the one with the non-spherical balls) via gleam.io, lots of engaging with brands ahead: https://gleam.io/Addsq/free-steam-key-axis-football The the twitter and steam tasks require logging into twitter and steam respectively. This tells them your e-mail address. The twitter one also gives them permission to tweet in your name, but I haven't caught them doing this. Steam steps require you to set your profile to public for the duration of this exercise, you can set it back to private and leave the groups afterwards. Twitter feeds can be unfollowed too, once you're done. Don't forget to also unauthorize the gleam.io app via https://twitter.com/settings/applications All other steps in this giveaway required no logging in whatsoever, you just open the popup and that's it. No goatse spotted on the csgoatse link. You can press F5 on gleam.io without losing progress, so don't worry if it gets stuck on something. When you're done, the steam code will appear in the window. Gog.com has a sale going and is also doing some stuff where you gain points to earn free games, but I've done the math and it's impossible to get something out of this without spending a dime: https://www.gog.com/summer_xp The "share on facebook or twitter" task doesn't actually require you to be logged in, just click the "share" or "tweet" button and you're done. If you do the math, you'll see that you can only get 3400 points at this time. You'll need at least 5000 for the first free game, Spelunky You'll need to "check in" 15 more times (after the first 5, you get a bonus 100 points), which you can do once per 24 hours at most. The event is until the 22nd, so there's not enough time. There's also a twitch event that'll give you more points, but you can't control this: quote:If the community is successful in completing the objective(s) of GOG Plays on Twitch, everyone gets the XP boost, regardless of whether they participated or not. The whole point of this is to make you buy something in the sale. The rate seems to be the price of the game you buy in USD * 1000. A one dollar game and a few daily checkins should be enough for Spelunky.

And similarly a Steam key for Big Space Mess, a side-scrolling shooter: https://gleam.io/Iu4ja/big-space-mess You should know how these work by now. Scroll up a little to my earlier post for details.

A really good game is free if you grab it in the next two days. Limbo - http://store.steampowered.com/app/48000/ - is a solid, nervy 2d game that I paid about $8 for a few years ago, and really enjoyed and felt it was money well-spent. No hoops to jump through, apart from having to have a steam account. Everyone should grab this.

I think I've managed to grab Splinter Cell, will confirm once Uplay manages to update itself without crashing. Thanks! I have a Steam key for Lead and Gold, a third person shooter: http://100k.fatsharkgames.com/ To claim this you need to hand over your name your name, an e-mail and to link your twitter account so they can verify you've actually followed them. Key will be mailed to you within 24 hours. EDIT: I got mine in 10 minutes or so. Remember to unauthorize the Gleam app via https://twitter.com/settings/applications once you're done, it has permission to send tweets in your name, although I've never caught it doing that. And I've got an IndieGala freebie again, a Steam ey for Beast Blaster, a puzzle game. This involves doing the IndieGala dance, check the OP for details: https://www.indiegala.com/#giveaway

I got it to work without a Facebook or a gleam.io account. You do need to watch the unmutable and unskippable video all the way to the end, but it's only 1:18 long. I was then given the Steam code, and some more tasks to complete. But since I already had the Steam code I didn't see the point.
