Because they were on Wii U.

I wish My Nintendo had more stuff but I can't really complain since I got WarioWare and TP Picross for nothing.

The Wii U wasn't doing so hot until MK8 hit and even then it wasn't an amazing success.

Club Nintendo was much better than My Nintendo. People did complain but there was still good stuff. I got many free games from Club Nintendo, it owned.

My Nintendo hasn't been operating for very long but Club Nintendo did not have as much fun month-to-month content as people seem to think, a lot of it was rotated back in and back out again and again. The only reason I got anything good out of the end-of-CN promotion is because I had nothing to spend my coins on until then because the digital rewards were always the same VC games and Wiiware/DSiWare titles being shuffled in and out again and again. I feel like that one tower defense game for DSi was almost always a reward

it used to be the joke that Urban Champion 3D was the defacto giveaway

I think a lot of people waited until the end because there was a lot of buyers remorse every month. People remember the end being good because there was a large selection, and no reason to hold onto your coins since you knew it was going away.

Nintendo eShop sale: Starting at 11 a.m. PT until 8:59 a.m. PT on June 21, Nintendo is offering discounts on some of its most popular games as a special treat for fans. My Nintendo members who are signed in will also get a special bonus if they buy select games included in the sale. Anyone who hasn’t signed up for My Nintendo yet is encouraged to do so now to avoid the E3 rush. To get the extra discount, My Nintendo members must link their Nintendo Account to their Nintendo Network ID and access Nintendo eShop on their device at least once before they make a purchase. The discounted games can be purchased in Nintendo eShop or at http://e3.nintendo.com. Details about the discounts can also be found at http://e3.nintendo.com.

Earthbound is the Wii U version.

Nintendo of Australia didn't mess around with any of that picture bullshit and just gave a Wii U and a 3DS list.

Such a poo poo sale though. A whole bunch of virtual console stuff most people already own the majority of, and a handful of eShop exclusives of a sliding scale of quality. Like who was even asking for Pokedex 3D Pro to be put on sale.

Club Nintendo was better since coins didn't expire so fast and I could use physical copies for points. The games will probably be the same in the end but stop giving me useless platinum coins. Or make platinum coins worth more than a discount that amounts to less than 10 bucks for basically watching advertisements and giving them my social media accounts for data mining.

I'm wondering if we'll see retail copy codes and better prizes/rewards return with NX games before calling My Nintendo entirely crap. I mean it is, but more rushed out way too soon than outright stupid if so.
